On paper, Serie A is much more powerful than Frieren. Isn't this the same as comparing CR7 with messi? Of course CR7 looks much stronger but if they fight on the field, no one can guarantee that ronaldo can win against messi.

In my pov, serie is maybe the most powerful mage ever, since she knows a lot of spells, living very long compared to Frieren, and her mana is very big even when she suppresses it. But i think Frieren suppression skills are very good. To the point she can almost hide it. Serie didn't suppress all her mana, maybe because she just can't do that. She is known as a legend, who will be strange to other people if she hides her mana, or she just wants to show off, or maybe there is another reason. But i believe she can do more than Frieren. They just have different ideologies, so they took different path of being mage.

this is such bs and fucks up the existing power system so bad.

Believe me the power difference between frieren and seirie isn't that big.. They are like diablo and guy from tensura.. Frieren just stop the pursuit of power and seirie is still doing it... frieren created a monster like fern in 25 year but seirie couldn't do it in 500 yrs.. That shows frieren knows what she is doing unlike seirie...

And she's gonna be beaten up again when Diablo recruits her.

When it comes to control. You could argue Frieren is better than Serie. Heck, Frieren in that sense is more equipped when it comes to the analyzing of magic. They wield magic in two different ways. Frieren focus on control and efficiency in order to deceive demons. Serie boost her overall power, mana output, mana capacity, and spell slots. Especially with how ANCIENT she is, she was built to be unstoppable in direct combat. Especially against a magic user. I am saying this simply because a warrior in the realm of Stark exist. Magic is a power that defy the rules of the world by bending it to the wielder's will. Those like Stark? They are someone whose entire existence defies logic. Sure mage would win 8/10 times against warriors. But even Frieren admits that Stark has the capacity to kill her (this is later down in the manga), granted said capacity could be achieved only by certain distances (I think several meters radius). But again, unlike mages who perform miracles. Warrior of Stark and Himmel calibers ARE the miracles.

The one thing that is driving me crazy, is the game admins going to such asinine lengths to destroy her character, when they could have just used her email address or something to arrange a meeting and ask her to retire the character and give them access to the account she made so they could try and get any info they could from it as to how she kept finding such random conent and gaining powers beoynd the game's paramters to handle.

Serie, is such an interesting character. We see with Frienren how aloof elves can be yet Serie takes it to such a different level. Serie didn't defeat the demon king because he wasn't worth her time. Yet the instant Fern shows that she can see Serie's secret she lights up like a kid with a new toy.

I have a different theory, since Frieren can undo Serie's magic and they are polar opposites in all regards. Serie, instead of compressing, is stretching her mana to make it appear larger. It's a kind of intimidation tactic. I'm not saying she is weak, not by a longshot, but my theory is that she pretends to appear more powerful, than she actually is.

Frieren never released her suppression, all she did was release it up to the point where it was more than aqua's mana, she had control as she was releasing it as shown by the gradual change in the scales tipping ^^;
