I said this under a comment, but I'll repeat it as a main comment for anyone who thinks that Alan Ett actually made this track for Tommy... Alan Ett had been doing music for TV shows like Married With Children and Unsolved Mysteries (after years as a touring jazz musician) and owned multiple companies under his main one, Alan Ett Creative Group, he was not contracting himself out to do an individual track for Tommy Tallarico. His Opus 1 Music Library was a dedicated stock music company containing music that he and fellow musicians had built up over years.

It wasn't stock music at the time. Opus 1 was founded by Alan Ett in 1998. Treasures of the Deep was released in 1997 and the in-game credit says Tommy Tallarico Studios. It's likely Ett took tracks that he worked on for Tommy and sold them separately on the Danger Zone CD later.

This very much reminds me of Bruce falconer, but even he managed to somehow make more music memorable than Tommy (if only because I have trouble pointing to what exacly Tommy actually composed). Hans Zimmer is another apt comparison.

i'm seeing a lot of people mention mark cerny and STI and brad buxer/michael jackson, but true blue sonic fans know that even before sonic was fully conceptualized, Madeline Schroeder was heavily involved in shaping the character and game into the form we recognize nowadays so tommy isn't even lying because sonic 2 was made in california, or because buxer composed a few songs for sonic 3, he's lying because sonic was being worked on by americans before the first game had even come out

This is insane. At this point, I fully believe that the reason why he got into "reviewing" games (considering everything, I'm leaning towards him not playing any of those games) and doing concerts instead is that someone caught him red-handed back in the late '90s/early 2000s, completely tanking his reputation as a rockstar big boy composer. While someone might argue that a ton of old-school VGM composers moved on after the 16-bit days, none of them act like they are still one of the hottest names in the industry. Tommy did, despite "his" output dropping like a rock around 1999.

Seems that the only music that Tommy made was for Color a Dinosaur and Extreme Sports with the Berenstain Bears. Ironically those games are full of bleeps and boops! (Meh, there's a big chance that he didn't even made those songs)
