oooh this is nice
Always loved the appeal of vintage typewriter keys 💻
That’s the goal! Glad you like it!
Eu gosto de escutar isso enquanto eu trabalho no meu computador.
Awesome, that’s a perfect use for this video!
4:17 is the very definition of practice makes perfect. The way he was just able to use that thing at such speed, understanding the way it works i think that is very impressive.
I appreciate it thank you! It sure is difficult to learn how to use these typewriters smoothly!
So relaxing
So glad you like it!
This reminds my college years 👍🥰
Thats so awesome!
이런 걸 원했어! 👍🏻✨💘
So glad you like it!
Wow a video I wanted after so much of searching 👌
Where did u procure the machine?
I’m an amateur writer and have only seen one typewriter in real life which was an electric one owned by my grandfather but I never got to see it in action.
Thats unfortunate, I think typewriters are super cool and I hope you find some neat ones to see, or check out the rest of my videos!
I found this exact typewriter from a pawn shop. It even came with the original case! And it was only 40 bucks! Now I call that a steel.
Wow that’s awesome! That sure is a steal!
I know lower case L was used as the number 1 but is there an exclamation mark (!) ?
No! Unfortunately there is no exclamation mark! So if you want to use one, you have to do a period, then backspace and do an apostrophe! Isn’t that interesting!
Sounds similar to a 1928 Thompson submachine gun
Didn’t think about it that way but cool!
The sound of Resident Evil.
Sure, but not all models take ink ribbons
I LOVE this so much!!🤍
Thanks for the comment! I'm happy you enjoy! I hope you enjoy more of my videos as well!
Thanks for the video, I love typewriters. Have one myself and sometimes type on it to get relaxed
That’s great! Yes they are so relaxing!!
What if I made a mistake lol it would be total waste😂 But it is so satisfying to watch this😍
Wow. How coincidental. I started posting my own typing videos two months ago and even posted a "Typing at the beach - Smith-Corona "Eighty-Eight" Secretarial" while completely oblivious to your channel and this video, albeit while seated all the way by the water on the sand (Lake Ontario); it was a very nice typing experience with the breeze and all. I cover many different machines and also discuss their functions, features, and typing feel.
Thats so cool!
Cool!
In a machine of that quality I would write much faster but unfortunately I only have an underwood from the 80s maybe 90s that were made almost entirely of plastic and of a quality and very hard keys but something is something my uncle gave it to me and it is my treasure It is immaculate, although it is not the best typewriter, it is mine and that is what matters. Good video ❤️ that Smith Corona reminds me a lot of the green Olivetti of my great grandmother is still alive but the machine ended up in the garbage can because of my uncles and their mania of "cleaning" the house of "garbage" according to them🙄.
I'm so happy you enjoyed my video and that it brought back memories. I love my smith corona, typing on it is definitely difficult for me but the more I practice the better I get! That's unfortunate your great grandmothers typewriter is gone, but I hope you can enjoy my typing in my videos. Thanks for the comment!
I have slightly numb fingers in my right hand from a diabetic condition, so I thought I could see if I could keep up with this typist. I sat down to my 1959 Royal FPP16 upright typewriter to do some slow, deliberate typing. It turned out I was a bit rusty when I started, but pretty soon I was able to keep up with the typist on the portable on the other side!! After awhile I was even able to type faster than the typist on the portable!! Pretty soon about a fifth of the video I had a double-spaced paper filled. Just the way I used to do it!! Felt right proud of myself to prove to myself that I hadn’t lost my touch on the keyboard!! I cried a tear of joy.
I think I just might do one of these videos myself. I’ve got a lot of interesting typewriters to choose from-anything from a 1913 L. C. Smith upright to a 1968-ish Smith-Corona-Marchant script electric midsized.
I just did the exercise, but this time I was able to complete an entire page SINGLE-SPACED!! A third of the way through on a manual typewriters. I’m not washed up as a typist after all. Uh-oh!! Getting weepy-eyed again!
Thank you so much for sharing your story John, it sounds like we share the same love for typing! I'm happy my video helped you practice and improve! Well done!
Having multiple tabs of this same video running at the same time has created perfection.
That sounds awesome!
Just keep going, man. I basically use type writer chrome extension for the feel. Cause found nowhere to find a real one.
My window is opened and it's raining outside. The harmony is just perfect.
That sounds awesome!!
I wish I had an own vintage typewriter!! 😩😩
You can buy them on Ebay!
this is what i was searching
i love the background with the apples! it’s so aesthetic!!
Love to work to this! Very soothing!
You Sey:...."You can imagine that you are in a office in the 1940s with the sounds from this typewriter"...Ohh yes I imagine it !!! huge rooms with a desk next to each other with approximately 80 to 150 machines all at the same time ... it is beautiful but not relaxing at all !! LOL
Thanks for watching Ruben, I agree with you haha! The sound of one typewriter is different to that of 80-150 machines! Feel free to check out the rest of my channel!
It depends on your point of view, man!!
RE4 vibes
Love it!
So inspiring!

Worth giving those type slugs a clean, a lot of them are causing the colored in "o, e, s," characters. Easy to clean and you'll get cleaner text out. Really nice and calming video, it's nice to hear this these days.
Hey thank you so much for the tip!! That sounds like a good idea! I’ll be sure to do that before the next video! I appreciate your help and support!!
Nice video. FYI, the short-lived light green hood logo identifies this Smith Corona typewriter as one which was produced 1952-1953.
Oh wow! Thank you so much for that FYI! I never knew but it'll be good to know for future videos! I appreciate it!
You know what's weird? We don't mind the noise at all
I’m very glad, feel free to check out the other videos on my channel!
That is a very well conserved and pretty Smith Corona you got there.
Thank you so much! I bought it off of ebay! Feel free to check out the other videos on my channel!
