The processing speed of any firewood processor greatly depends on the cycle time of the machine, the diameter of the log, the overall length of each log (longer is better) and how straight they are. So it would be helpful when claiming a processing speed of 7 cords per hour it's best to state the size and length of the logs run. Also cord is a very ambiguous term. Are you referring to 128 cubic feet, stacked tight? Or fractions their of?

Loading and unloading 7 cords an hour is a big job, logistics has to work nicely for that. In theory sawing/splitting could be possible, but I suspect that old Murphy throw some challenges at the overall operation...

engine too small and non floating deck which makes it a scalp master. Both deal breakers. GH opted for fancy hydros instead of putting the gas tanks in the center where they belong. Now you have gas tanks in the way of very important adjustments. Bobcat blows this thing away.

You are amazing! we have a 3040 and at best (which is good enough) with the right sized logs, we can only get 2 full cords / hr. If you wanted a job, looks like we could pay you about $200/ hr. with the amount of wood you can do.

Thats what happens when you drop start a saw, with the brake off and your finger on the trigger! So many safety rules are broken every time hes on film its not funny! He us full of wisdom, however i think one day. Its going to bite him when he least expects it! A lot of rules are put in place for inexperienced people. But some, are quite obvious! Like drop starting a saw with brake off and finger on trigger. He also never puts the chain brake on when in a tree and leaves it idling. Thats just gambling with your own flesh and blood!

Got a slice cut into the toe of my new boots, from a kickback. They're not steeltoed, but a hardened composit, which was just enough to save my toes. I was already tired from cutting most of the day, and was in a crouched position, cutting the remainder of an oak stump, putting the bar in a super compromised position, leading to the kickback. Lesson learned
