Predawn Windchimes
A bit of a blustery morning here in Kentucky on November 4, 2024. Steady winds of 11 miles an hour with gust up to 24. still a half hour before official sunrise so I’m looking forward to seeing how that affects the wind. #nature #weather #blustery

Squirrels Feeding
มุมมอง 50วันที่ผ่านมา
Just a couple of squirrels deciding to visit this morning. I have discovered that there are some wild oaks out beside the field and acorns are all over the ground currently. So I suspect that they are eating a little closer to home. #squirrelwatching #urbannature
Enjoying a Pumpkin Rind Treat

The local grocery store had several of what they were calling pie pumpkins. They were somewhere between the size of a softball and a small basketball. I bought one busted it open in the yard and the squirrels have thoroughly enjoyed it this afternoon. #squirrelwatching #nature #urbannature #squirrelbuddies #squirreladventures #hummingbird #hummingbirdfeeder

More and more squirrels are beginning to frequent the feeding area.
Crowded Feeding Zone

There are oak trees along an open field east of the building; they have filled the ground with small acorn within easy reach from the safe haven of trees. It would appear that the acorn supply is exhausted because the squirrels have been venturing into the open more to feed. This day, the open spot between my porch and the ditch was popular. And at a few times, personal space had to be defended...
Pie pumpkins are best for making pie filling and other recipes. Jack-o-lantern sized pumpkins usually don't taste very good but a lot of animals will eat them and their seeds. Many zoos give their herbivores leftover pumpkins after Halloween.
Pumpkins the best
Gray Fluffy is the cutest.😍😍
I think so too!

Hi Jim, Crazy Squirrel guy here. So many good videos on your channel but this one is spot on. I started feeding the Birds and Squirrels about 10 years ago, and you are so right every day fresh nuts and water. The same squirrel has been feeding here for 8 years. Thanks for sharing and Greetings from Florida. 🌞🌻🥜🐿️❤️
Thanks for the encouraging words and stay safe down there. I need to get better with my identification skills. There are 4-6 that visit and I look forward to learning their personalities.

Good morning handsome
I will pass along your compliment this morning.
Jim so cute
Hey Jim. Adding a location (town. City. County. State) to the title, description or using the location field on the upload form might get you more views for some of these videos.
@@DeltaMikeTorrevieja thank you
This Was Painful...But You Could Be A Good Story Teller. 1. Talk Louder ( had it cranked and still had issues) 2. If Crickets are "buzzing"..Just Don't Record Video. It Was Brutal. Thanks
Thank you for the feedback and advice
@@jwill9311 No worries. Have A Great Sunday!

Things that fly - including big mechanical man made 'things'. Nice twist at the end.
It was certainly a nice bit of serendipity
Oh yeah actually this video happened to me one time in Pennsylvania, in the Appalachian mountains, 1990s
sir you are way too close to the camera
@@fiftythreethousandeighthundred thank you for the advice
I've no problem with water. Any kind of detergent I would certainly minimise; the minimum to get the job done. And season the pan well again afterwards.
Thanks for the tip
Have you named him?
Not yet I have not
I've made the odd nature video myself. Some of them with swarms of birds swooping past for an hour or more. Nothing wrong with a bit of nature. Over on my channel there's a nature playlist.
The flocks of birds that weave and swope like a wave are incredible
@@jwill9311 not sure if they are swallows, swifts or housemartens but I love to stand in the middle of them as they dive past. Sometimes within a metre or yard of me. Incredible!
Fortunate its only the tail end. Glad you arent seeing anything too serious.
Certainly fortunate. Those along the path in Texas and Mexico are without electricity in 100 degree F heat. No air conditioning or food storage.
💚🧡🧡
Thank you
Why u wearing a prison outfit.
@@brettshamblin3180 just a v neck t shirt. LOL
Awesome video and wonderful assistant
Thank you
Thanks, Jim!
You are welcome!
I think Ive been twice maybe three times in my adult life.
There are days I feel like I go two or three times a week
I avoid Doctors.
My grandmother always said she didn’t go to doctors because they always find something wrong wrong with you
We have a game called telephone. You start with a person whisper, something in their ear and then they pass it on to the next person and it gets passed along the line with whispers and then the last person tells what they heard. You then compare that to what the original whispered story was.
Yes sir
It’s good advice
You certainly like to keep em short, lol. If you want monetisation you'll need to get your watch hours up a bit. Longer is better, certainly in the early days.
Oh monetization is far off and out of reach. Jim is just enjoying sharing stories and short nature vids. 500 subscribers min to monetize and I believe 3M watch hours.
👌🏼go cook that brekkie jim lad
On it
Excellent start. It still amazes me that in the US people don't use electric kettles so much. 1 minute to boil the water. Pour over noodles, wait 2 or 3 minutes, job done. But hey ho. You'll be competing with Chef Jean-Pierre in next to no time.
I do not have an electric kettle, but I do run water through my Keurig coffee pot without a pod to make tea and instant oatmeal.

I do not have an electric kettle, but I ofttimes run water through my Keurig without a pot in it and use that to make tea or instant oatmeal. I don’t know why I’ve never thought to use it making Ramen. Thanks for the tip and ideal.
You asked nicely enough. Good luck on your future endeavors.
Thank you for the well wishes
I got Jim to 53, let me know if his mission was successful
