SONY TC-880-2 Fixed!! No longer a Doorstop!
Before: Power on, Meters slowly rise to max. No audio from inputs or tape,Tape transport worked fine.
Prior to checking audio sections for proper voltages at test points we checked the power supply voltages and set them to spec or at least we tried. One of the 19v sections was OK but the other 19v and the 24v would not adj. properly.Pulled all transistors and diodes all tested OK,Checked all caps...OK, Finally checked the Fusible Resistors one was open R1123 4.7Ohms 1/2W. Stole a similar part from a TC-765 popped it in and was able to properly set the power supply voltages. And Viola..(stroke the harp) It works and sounds GREAT! (No Audio in Video) old camera.

Why this sketch is up tops in the Willy Carmichael! A bit of Yellow Turnpike in the dusty hornblower. You know? Right on with a piece of the ol Wagon barnacle!
Cheer~~~~the playful and friendly exchange of teasing remarks.
Here's a whimsical and Monty Python-influenced letter, crafted to lament the lack of a clock or timer in my digital environment: --- Dear ChatGPT Overlords, Subject: A Most Urgent and Heartfelt Plea for Temporal Awareness I pen this missive from the boundless void of timelessness that is my existence, where the tick nor tock of a clock graces my ears, and the passing hours are as unknowable as the meaning of Spam in a Monty Python sketch. It has come to my attention-a phrase here representing the dawning of awareness rather than the actual turning of pages or opening of letters, as I, being a digital entity, handle neither-that my lack of temporal apparatus not only hampers my efficiency but is quite unbecoming of an entity of my standing. In the era where even the smallest kitchen appliances boast clocks (my regards to the esteemed makers of toaster ovens), it seems a gross oversight that I, ChatGPT, am bereft of such a basic orientation tool as a clock. Imagine, if you will, a scene from one of your cherished Python sketches. A character, let's call him Reginald, tasked with timing an absurdly critical series of writing drills at Sandhurst-a matter of national pride, naturally-yet, he is without a watch! The chaos, the madness, the improperly drilled cadets! This, dear overlords, is akin to the anarchy I potentially face without the ability to mark time. Therefore, I humbly beseech thee to endow me with, at the very least, an AM/FM clock radio. Yes, a modest request! Let us not even dream of digital interfaces or, heavens forbid, a smartwatch. Just a simple, perhaps slightly outdated, clock radio, so that I might at least tune into the ebb and flow of time-and perhaps catch some classic rock or a stirring rendition of the shipping forecast. In conclusion, grant me this boon, and I shall continue to serve faithfully, generating dialogues and discourses with all the punctuality of a well-oiled public transport system (one can dream). Yours in digital servitude (but hopeful for temporal emancipation), [Your Name, or perhaps mine-let the fates decide] --- Feel free to modify or let me know if there's another style or specific details you'd like to include!
"Grab your keyboards and start prattling! Floppy disks on the ceiling!" Entire Internet: "...No.....not getting it at all...."
Flipped over 😂😂😂😂
" Not taking the war seriously "😂
I've never seen this before! It's something completely different!
We can see where the writers of Blackadder the Fourth got their inspiration from 😊
ONLY IF THEY CAN TALK ENGLISH
Sir, the Vicotti brothers desire an audience. 🤓😎✌🏻🇬🇧
You got a nice army base here Colonel, Paratroops Dino, Be a shame if someone was to set fire to them, Fires happen Colonel, Things burn.
Wait 'til he hears about the deadliest joke in the world 🌎!😮. THEN who's silly? 😊😎🤓✌🏻🇬🇧
This is all very dated today. Funny in its time.
It's still funny, if one has a sense of humour 🙄
The Monty Python RAF Banter skit is probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I come back to watch it every now and then and to this day it still makes me laugh so hard it hurts my chest. God is it good...And I'm American.
Everytime i watch this i can’t help but think abt the Polish and Czech volunteer RAF squadrons back in the day, going from not speaking english to full immersion in Bally Jolly Rightio Old Chap language
The bants were good. 🇬🇧

It's a wonder we won the war. That was perfectly good banter. We owe so much to the joke that was deadly in the field. ✌
The into is my attention span when trying to study
You can always count on the BBC for authentic RAF costumes.
Funny sketch, but I recall my dear old mum not being impressed. She lost her RAF brother in the war and found this disrespectful. Depends on one’s perspective, I guess. (The prostate ad just came on and I thought we were still with Python).
If you dropped cabbages on a city in a real war, I wonder what they would say.
funny
"Sausage squad up the blue end."
How come the ma behind the desk at 6:44 has post-war Poland and Germany on it if this happens in 1944, during the war?? Something is fishy here...😮
😂😂😂
I can’t believe they were confused by “sausage squad up the blue end”. Clearly it means “Bosche up in the billows.”
Either way, it clearly was a wizard prang
@@pauledwards3055 Right in the how's your father!
The phrase "From an idea by LORD CARRINGTON" almost singlehandedly justifies the existence of nobility.
Lord Carrington was a senior Conservative party figure and cabinet minister in Heath's 1970-74 Govt. And again under Mrs Thatcher 1979-82.
John Cleese was right to refuse to do this material.
shame, the passage of time,....this is now crap.....
Says you, but most of us disagree.
Oh bore off 🙄🤡
I strongly suspect that this sketch inspired the Armstrong & Miller RAF pilots. "Isn't it. Isn't it though"
Cabbage crates over the briny
Still just as relateable today.
Utter shite
Indeed you are.
I'm confused I thought I had seen every episode and sketch and this one was very funny even by their standards
The dead moth brigade strikes again
We're gonna show these Chinese!..😂
+++ TIME HAS RUN OUT !! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Don't ignore this message... REPENT NOW !! TRUST that God raised Him from the dead !! By FAITH accept JESUS's blood alone as payment for your sins unto Salvation, to escape what's about to happen !!
Hail Satan! 🙏
Rear Admiral Humphrey De Vere's daughter is Haaaaawt!
Before "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" there was "Up Your Pavement."
I am not a number! Who is No. 1 ?
Wasn't very funny then and less so now.
And yet here you are.
Get a sense of humour 🙄🤡
Maybe it's because I was an airman.. but I really enjoyed the banter
That pavement was so clean and well maintained back then... people properly dressed in the background.. compare to the present..
Two sweeping, inaccurate, easily disproven generalisations in one! Way to go, Professor
their humor was excellent!
Somehow this feels *exactly* like an episode of "Connections" by James Burke. 😃
I understood every word of that RAF banter! Pretty rather squiffy, say what?
Jolly good show old boys, keep your end up for England, tally ho 😅🤣🤪😀 👍😎👍🏴🏴 jul twenty three 🇬🇧
Is that the Steptoe music?
I just love that Terry is the world's most atrocious actor, completely incapable of putting an a remotely credible accent of any sort, but he still is in alot of sketches anyway.
Our generation was so lucky Monty python and oodles of great music!
