With all of the modern conveniences I have available to me, I can still find things to complain about. Today I had the realization that there were women that walked the trail before me, protecting their families from marauders, wild dingoes, and famine, and still had energy to smile and show love. I really need to stop complaining!

As achildren’s author, I get so excited when I get to release a new book.

My husband has came up with this brilliant idea that we need to start traveling more often. Problem is, we’ve never like traveling so I don’t know what he’s thinking! I made this video in the hopes that venting to my friends may help me get it out of my system and maybe learn to enjoy seeing the world.

Taking pictures is awkward, but apparently so is video making. Between construction, an attack by a bird with a head injury, doing a whole video that was perfect, but then you find out the camera was really shut off, to an editing mess, this could possibly be the worst yet funniest video ever made.

After 40 years, we’ve seen it all. We’ve had some great successes, and made some doozy mistakes. But if someone held us down and told us we had to tell them what was the secrets to our success, we would have to say these things. #SuccessfulTrainWreck
