Interesting video, thanks. Honestly, i don't have myself impostor syndrom because i think that when you make art in your art style, and not reproducing or copying others, you have no reason to feel like an impostor :) so i encourage artists, to really listen to themselves and not try to fit to what expected from them.

Love every bit of this! You have such an encouraging spirit. A question: We have four young babes so I’m really trying to fit in painting and creating in any extra pockets of time I can. A lot of times the sun has already gone to bed when I’m able to paint. Do you have any items that you recommend (particularly type of lighting) which help for late night hours working?

Does it have to be gauche?

This is another reason why I like painting my canvases with gesso even if the background is staying white. If you make a mistake, it doesn’t discolor the painting when you paint white over it because it’s the same white you used one the canvas. Sometimes using white on a bare canvas can still be visible because of the different sheens or tones

All great advice! I used to collect Sardine tins so this painting speaks to my soul. I’m so in love with this one. I wish your illustrations were on a real tin. I can’t wait to visit the Sardine store in my city, NYC, that just opened in Times Square.
