The British Liver Trust is the UK's leading liver charity, offering information and support for people of all ages affected by liver disease and liver cancer.
The Trust is working hard to raise awareness of liver disease and encourage investment in the early detection, treatment and care, and research into liver conditions.
Much of the increasing incidence of liver disease stems from lifestyle trends relating to alcohol, obesity and viral hepatitis. However, liver disease has many other causes including genetics, abnormalities in the immune system and even the medicines we take.
The British Liver Trust and Children's Liver Disease Foundation have now merged, allowing us to better offer information and support to everyone affected by any type of liver disease throughout their lives. We are continuing to offer all of the adults', children's and families' services previously available. Our aim is to use our resources to benefit the entire liver disease community.

Like watching an AlanBennet "Talking Heads" Lovely example of the impact the British Games has on people. Looking forward to seeing Monica in the Archery next year! For those watching this video be inspired. If you are not up to having a go in an event, come and watch or volunteer in Oxford in 2025 and you will be hooked as you soak up the tremendous atmosphere and see the comradery between people, fun they have and the friends they make.

hi, thanks for your video it really made me think about my life, im the same as you ive just been told ive got cirhossis of the liver, at first its scary as you google about it and they say you have between 2 to 15 years life expectency, but now i think about my life try to eat properly exercise more so thank you xx

Hello, Im looking for help for my brother who is 40 years old. He has had Heb B for a fews years now but he is really poorly at the moment. At the moment he is onlybtaking pain killers. I desperately need advice on how to support him. He lives here in Europe. He is mostly tired and putting on weight right now. He experiences a lot of pain now. Please any advice will be appreciated. Thankyou Hilary my wife has cirrhosis none drinker how long did you wait for a transplant not even sure they will consider my wife, I would be willing to give her some of mine take care.
I am from the Philippines I am positive of hepatitis b since I guess year 2003 so sad I feel the descrimenation and I can't get a job easily
I got to decomp, bilirubin was up maybe 600, 10 months abstinent and I feel horrid daily

Like Lisa, I have PBC and received a life saving liver transplant in 2012. Such an emotional time and I think it was definitely worse for my poor husband having to watch me getting weaker and weaker each day until a donor was found. Forever grateful to my donor and her wonderful family whoever they are. So glad Lisa is doing well. Xx

@@henriettagoldsmith5056 I developed symptoms when I was pregnant at the age of 42. I experienced unbearable itching throughout the whole pregnancy. Was wrongly diagnosed with Obstetric Cholestatis, but when the itching continued after I had my daughter a further liver function test revealed I had PBC. I had a liver transplant 8 years later. X
I had my transplant at kings too, dec 2019. Im in the same uk support group as lisa, its a great friendly group.
Could the Pfizer jab cause the sudden development of a liver cyst? On 08/06/2021- I received my first Pfizer jab. On 08/27/21 - I underwent a thoracic CT w/contrast (for my vascular dr). My MRI w/WWO contrast (for unrelated issue) was on 10/29/2021. A 8.33mm cyst was seen on the MRI that was not on the CT (confirmed by my vascular dr) - meaning the cyst apparently developed between the dates of my 2 imaging procedures. Can the vax cause a liver cyst?
