Thanks
Look forward to the next one!
best is yet to come
@Diamondcustompaint I have no doubt!
Sorry i havent been watching lately, been dealing with winter cold in the northwest. Keep up the good work, thanks im gonna be starting my sportster next month an its gonna be my first time doing a bike. I need all the instruction i can get.
awesome, you will do it! Just take your time. My biggest mistakes when I started was not cleaning my parts good enough, that's why you see me kind of go overboard on the cleaning. There is nothing worse than almost being done and having an adhesion problem. If you have any questions just leave it in one of the videos comments and I will get back to you. If you want me to do a specific video on something, let me know and I will fit it in.
"See ya on the next one" 😊
Love this product, thanks for demo
Our pleasure!
Right on man thanks for the demo
You bet
Have you compared this to the Porphis series?
I have not. Thanks for watching
Would you sand the epoxy before any body work.
yes 180 - 220 grit, then bodywork, then Primer. I prefer high build primer especially if I did bodywork. hope this helps
Great video
Great review!
Turned out super sweet! ❤
thanks. stay tuned for more videos
@Diamondcustompaint sure will!
Enjoy watching
Amazing work! 🔥 🔥
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the build.
Nice job! Love the way it all came together.
Thank you!

Thank you! Cheers!

Like how this looks
Adding flake to clear is the way I did it in the 70s
Ahh the good ol days
You need one of my tank stands.
how do see one of your stands? I'm always game to make my life easier
Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
perhaps you can do a video and share the mixing ratio on the createx paint on a spray gun i always have issues with createx and yes, they have cool colors
Yes I can work in a short video. The Hot rod sparkle red i just added a splash of 4011 reducer. With the candies I mixed 4 to 1 with 4030 balancing clear. 4 parts 4030 to 1 part candy. They actually spray really well out of a 1.4 spray gun. Also remember when mixing anything with the 4030 to let it sit for 10 minutes.
Great tip about the ear plugs 👌
🙌🙌🙌🙌
Is the candy black createx as well.
Yes, it their Candy 2o black.
Great advice 👍
Thanks for watching!
lose that noise dude , it's irritating.
What noise 🎉
Glad to see the createx being used on an actual project. I have only used it through an airbrush. Great results!
Thanks, when I started I used exclusively createx. I now use mostly urethane, but createx has some awesome colors.
Loved the video n really appreciate all of the detailed tips you provide throughout the entire process!! You really cover all the bases n thats a HUGE help for us DIYers!! Thx again n keep the vidz comn!!!
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. If there is something in particular you want to see, just let me know and I'll try to do a video on it.
Im surprised at all the burn through spots on a bare metal part, i guess that happens a lot, ive got a new tank and front fender but everything else is factory painted so ive got a lot of sanding to do first. Thanks again.
Yeah, from the factory the bare metal is not very straight like you would think. Front feners seem to be the worst. They usually have ripples around the curves.
Wheres the music 🎶 🎵
❤
Thanks
Loved the videos! Question - if i dont need to do any repairs or bodywork do i HAVE TO start with the epoxy? Or can i straight from metal to the high build primer? Waiting on my order of the aerosol primer from Adam!
Yes, you can start with just the primer. Just make sure it's a direct to metal primer. I believe if it says Primer Sealer it will give you sealing properties for the metal. You can also do your body work right on the metal. The Epoxy Primer is just a bullet proof way and piece of mind to really seal everything up. Mostly if I get a customers parts and I sand it down and I notice like the brown surface rust on the metal, I will sand it all off and then use Epoxy. Hope this helps and thanks for watching
Thanks for the help really enjoy n appreciate all your videos brother!!
Great start to the series
Yep. It will be a good one
How long do you wait for the paint to cure before you sand and polish?
I usually wait 2-3 days after final clearcoat
@ thank you very much
Can't wait to see the progress.
Thanks, stay tuned. The base color will be murdered red😊
Im excited to watch from start to finish. I'll be starting my sportster as sood as i get heat in my shop. Its cold in Eastern Wa. state. Cant ride so gonna paint it. Lol.
Good luck with your project, just be sure to get that shop warmed up!
Excited to see it 🙌
Thanks for watching
Sweet!
Glad you liked it.
Nice!
More to come. keep on a watchin'
Hey man thanks for the vidoes , what air pressure do you find to be optimal for the lime base and clear ? Keep the content coming .
Thanks for watching. I usually run right at 30 psi on regulator at the gun for both clear and base. That's with using LimeLine pro gun. I always check my base colors on a paper before spraying to make sure it's optimizing properly. (Mist of droplets). With the clear I've sprayed it so much I know 30 is good with trigger and fan wide open
Right on thanks for the info
😊😊
Im 66 an just getting back into motorcycles again. I bought a Evo sportster chopper an ive been watching you an Adam an getting my confidence up. Im putting a wood stove in my shop to get it warm enough to paint in then start getting everything to start painting. You guys been helping a lot, keep it coming.
Yes that's what I like to hear. Don't be afraid to mess up, because you can always skuff back down and do it again. If I'm nervous about a step I will always clear coat first, so then you can just sand it down to that layer without ruining the work you have already done. If there is something you would like me to do a video on, just let me know.
Looks great man. I am going to try their new clear because I have been looking around for something other than House of Kolor UC-35 that I always use. I love the dry time and the chemical/fuel resistance of the UC-35 and it always works for me and you really have to try to make a run in it. The problem is it has gotten so expensive just like everything else. I love how it is a 2:1 and dries pretty quick and always comes out super smooth. The new Lime Line clear looks and sounds like it is very similar so I'm going to try it on my next project. Love the videos man!
thanks for watching. yes, I have used that clear before (UC-35) when I first started, but your right it is getting crazy expensive. Give the Lime Line acrylic Urethane a try and you won't be disappointed. Use the Lime Line link in the description when you purchase it, and you will get 10 Percent OFF. I am an affiliate with them, so I make a small commission. Agin Thanks
@@Diamondcustompaint Sounds good man, I will do that. I was going to sign up for that too but I honestly am not home enough to do that much painting. I will be home next month though and am moving from Texas to North Carolina and will have a much bigger shop and can do more car builds and painting. I'll actually be awake too for the Time Warp Thursday paint nights. When I'm home I usually try and send them some money for giveaways because he does such a good job of teaching everyone custom paint and they are both just pretty cool people. Keep up the awesome work I'll use your link when I order some clear next month for sure.
Sounds good, good luck on your move and be safe
👀
Thanks
Thanks, im planning on a Root Beer candy on my sportster an your helping me a lot.
