I live in Chico, the fairgrounds is base camp for the firefighters, very smokey today, the wind changed direction today so I guess that was it., and seems not coming this way.

I worked the Paradise clean up, total devastating. Hard to have a positive attitude.

So he just basically said they misjudged the fire?? Who else misjudged it? Did they throw everything at it immediately? Remember the Whiskytown fire where someone towing a trailer sparked a veg fire up off 299? After that, I was saying next time get that 747 tanker up there that day

I'm praying constantly for the first responders, evacuees and all the animals, both wildlife and those desperate pets who might have been left behind. I shutter to think about animals trapped. How terrified and confused they must be. How horrific and unthinkable to imagine them burning to death. Oh, God, please hear our prayers. Please help to quell this monster fire from hell. If the state asked for volunteers to surround the fire from the citizens of this state you could have it out in a few days. It doesn't take rocket science to show someone how to make a fire line. Give everyone an adze or polaski and have them dig fire trails to surround the fire and maybe a medal to put on the wall saying thanks. Or pay for their gas to and from for the help. Millions of people would love to help.
