Crapo Family Quarantine Fight
Every other week the Crapo family gets together on a Zoom call to catch up during this quarantine. Each time we meet, someone is in charge of an activity for all of us to participate in for the coming weeks and then when we get back together we go over what we did. It was our turn to decide what the family was doing and I had seen those stuntman quarantine fight videos online, and I thought they were awesome, so that is the activity I chose. It wasn't easy for everyone, but we got all the clips in at the last second and this is the result. Enjoy!

I don't typically do these kinds of videos, but when I was doing my research on this roof top tent I never found some answers to certain questions. Chicken Corners & Hurrah Pass Full Trail Moab, UT

This is the entire trail of Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners starting at the Kane Creek Recreation Parking. Directions are pretty straight forward, just follow the main road, if the road splits there will typically be signs to let you know which way to go. This entire trail was over 40 miles long (one way) and took us over 3 hours to do (one way) in 2 Toyota 4Runners. Both 4Runners had lifts but...

      @SupersamProduction a few weeks ago I found a tent like this laying in the median of the interstate, assuming it came off of someone's vehicle. The cover has some road rash but is still fully usable

    This vid had been posted for a few years now. You mentioned that you and your wife don’t have kids, but I just noticed in the vid that there were kid tricycles and kid car things in the background. Maybe you guys run a children daycare business. Anyways THANK YOU for posting your complete vid showing from the very start on setting it up.

    Great instructions and i think at the time this was posted the instructions were clear about the ladder hinge assembly but the new updated manual shows the m6 plastic washers which you call spacers in the video go on each side of the bolt. Not together. That prevent the metal washers. From rubbing up against the hinge and causing wear. So there’s no metal on metal friction. Just a mention. I think these are the best instructions I’ve seen so far. Thanks. Smittybilt should pay you for this haha.

    Great video. Did you experience any squeaking or road noise and go back and put rubber pads to separate the tent from the frame?

    • @SupersamProduction
      @SupersamProduction 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's funny you should ask. The quick answer, no we have not experienced any squeaking with the tent. But, right around the same time you asked this question we noticed a squeaking noise. My wife was convinced it was the tent but I didn't think so. Once winter rolled around, we took the tent off for storage and the squeaking was still there... Must be something else!

    Most Excellent! I used a Adventure Kings model in Australia for three months, 10,000 miles, on a Prado...loved every minute of it. Took me a few setups to figure the support rods out and did have a strong wind try to close it on my <100 pound travel companion while I was in a hammock. So I recommend having extra rope to anchor the fold out leaf if you find yourself in a similar environment. QUESTION: My XL model recommends three supports...as you also stated... but mine only comes with two mounting rails and is only drilled for two. I know I can make my own third support rail, but I'm curious if yous had an additional mounting rail? It seems I'm missing one anchor and one tie-down based on the XL parts list that came with my tent this week. Thank you very much for this Great video. I'm mostly a visual learner, so you really helped fill in some gaps from the instructions I received. Also, if i remember correctly....the two long straps...we used those to completely go over the tent after putting the cover on. That way the cover doesn't blow off. Thanks again!

  • @jeromea.7745
    @jeromea.7745 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you suggest a full size mattress topper or a queen size?

    • @SupersamProduction
      @SupersamProduction 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We bought a queen topper just because it was the closest in size. But the dimensions of the mattress are interesting, longer than normal mattresses but narrower. So we had to trim some off of the edges to get it to fit, but there is still about 1 foot at the bottom of the mattress where the topper doesn't reach. I think the only remedy would be to get a California King, and then trim a lot out. That didn't seem worth the money to me though. Good luck, sorry I responded so late to this, I'm sure you've figured it out by now.

    Do you know why my ladder wouldn’t be clicking?

    • @SupersamProduction
      @SupersamProduction 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My guess would be that the black knobs have a locking mechanism in them, that way you can raise them up and lock them so that you can slide it without it going in. If you twist it clockwise it should drop slightly and then begin to lock into the holes afterwards. Sorry for the late reply, I'm sure you've figured this out by now.

    Aren’t the two straps supposed to go over the top of the cover not underneath? That is the way it’s meant to be done on the XL

      Yes! I have been meaning to make another video to go over my long term review as well as some mistakes I made in this video. I didn’t have any issues with the straps being in the inside, but they are for sure meant to go over the cover.

    Super funny to think back on it. I was born 89’ and as an early teen this hobbitville conjured up SO much bulls**t. It’s been 15 years and when me and the gang went to go breach the place we went to the east side and under a chainlink fence before a 6’ tall man called us out while calling the cops so we dipped. I had heard so so so many stories… “ if you try to drive in there they come and throw pebbles at your car.. the midgets”. Stories of midgets with shotguns using the ground to cock the gun etc. it was fun. After it settled down a bit it became understood that it was a refuge for small people and they didn’t want to be bothered lol. All of it nonsense but it was fun. The front of the property however is definitely unique and has some interesting stuff to check out if you’re walking. Enough to make you wonder if they really are stashing some hobbits away in there. Heh good times.

    The instructions it comes with says to put the plastic washers on both sides of the bracket

    • @SupersamProduction
      @SupersamProduction 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wonder if they've updated the instructions. I've been meaning to make a part 2 to this video and correct a few things and that is one of them. Based upon my research on how those types of washers work, I think it makes the most sense to put a metal washer on the outside, and the two plastic washers together on the inside. I have since made that change but regardless, I don't think you're going to run into many issues no matter how you do it.

    Any issues with the crease portion of the tent dipping under pressure? I unfolded the tent and when I went to get in, the crease portion began to sink.. Any reason why??

    • @SupersamProduction
      @SupersamProduction 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve noticed if the ladder isn’t in the ground it can slide out and that portion can fall out from under you. Kind of scary. I refuse to get in when the ladder is on asphalt or concrete. Other than that I haven’t experienced the issue.
