Please dont ever remove this. That baseball field brings back so many memories. Thats where I played the sport I love, thats where I met friends and coaches that made lasting memories. Thats where I left a part of me. People that are no longer with us used to walk that field. I miss those days. I graduated in 2002 but it seems like it was just yesterday. Sad that the field is now gone

Class of 1981. Favorite teacher was Mr.Kleen ( yes really). Second favorite Mr. Harris. Alamo Stadium for the football games then PIZZA HUT downtown for the after party. Loved going to Tech.

P.S. Also remember that we, the Drill Team, were also known as "The Twirling Rifles". Avila, can't remember his first name, taught us how to do twirling maneuvers with the M1's we used during that time. We were a hit during the Parades held at that time.

Just came across this video, my old high school from the early 60's. I also was in the TLT (Tech Little Theater), portrayed Eddie in the play Born Yesterday and also Ensign Pulver in the play Mr. Roberts. Was also on the Drill Team that one the City Championship at Alamo Stadium I think was in 1963/1964. We were the last Drill Team to perform that evening and had not been able to travel the State to perform at Drill Team Competitions across the State. Remember that Central Catholic had been winning first place all across the State and San Antonio was the last competition for that year. Remember Avila, third squad leader who was a U.S. Marine Corps Reservist and had suggested that in marching in to the reviewing stand that we should Dress Left instead of Dressing Right, which is normal when marching in formation. Remember that when we stopped at the reviewing and halted, made a left to face the judge in charge and was given the command to Dress Right Dress, prior to begin our portion of the competition. no one moved, just one solid snap, so to speak. Heard the stadium go "ahhhhhhhhhh", as by dressing left, meaning we were keeping our distance from the person in front of us with the distance from the first squad, which were the shortest persons in the formation, instead of dressing right to the members with the longer arms length. So in dressing left we were in position that no one had to move around in order to be in an arranged position to be directly behind the first squad. I was the last person in the fourth squad and when we did that out of the corner of my eye I saw a U.S. Marine Corps judge lower his clip board down from a writing position, to write notes down, to a non-writing position. Meaning he lowered his arms straight down holding the clipboard as if would not be needing to write down any discrepancies as we began the competion. We did our march/competition and returned to and area across the field from where the judges were and in front of the student body. I can still remember that when they announced the winning Drill Team all I remember hearing was Louis W. and the stands behind us broke out in a thunderous yell and it looked like an avalanche with all the students coming at us. We were so proud because even though we couldn't go to the other State competitions where Central Catholic had won first place Fox Tech beat out the other six high school Drill Teams. Quite an Honor felt that day!!! Sure wish there was a video of that competition!!!!! Anywho, Richard Campos here now living in Denver, Colorado. (rcampos9274@gmail.com)

I was there from 1976 to 1980, That was some good time when I was there. I was in Tech Little Theater or TLT. I went to Radio and TV and learn my trade there. I am now in Biomed/ AV tech at the Baptists. Thank you Fox Tech!

Man I always thought that fox tech was a crazy layout. But the cool thing that it was downtown. I went to harlandale we used to skip school to meet up with some fox tech girl's good times. C/o '99

It's changed so much I remember going to school right down the street and always going and staying at my bestfriend's house on westfrench near the baseball field I can't wait to move back there soon on westfrench again 🙏

I graduated from Fox Tech in 1968. That was the same year I enlisted in the Air Force. Fast forward, I retired in 1996 as an officer and would have loved to have taught Computer Science there but SAISD wouldn't hire me. Thanks to NEISD for the privilege of shaping great minds in my second career.

There used to be land with grass around the light house; to bad they did away wit that. Good video, especially around Woodlawn. I grew up around there. I have a lot of memories of my friends and I walking from the neighborhood to go swimming in the swimming pool. I'm glad you took that video.

fox tech class of 2010.......

Great footage, quick tip (hope you don't mind) simple cuts look cleaner and are way less distracting than those weird transitions. You can also mark the beats of the music by selecting the audio track, pressing play and hitting the "m" key as it plays. Then cut your clips on the beats!
