Nakayama Hakudo Sensei 😥
Wish this had English subtitles OS!
Yoshukia karate I train with sensi dugan and shehan Lowe .I respect these men very much I love this art so far learning very much
God bless sensi
I would definitely question this man's teachers. Many problems here.
Thank you. It is inspiring video. I practice Katori Shintō ryu.
This is a great resource, thank you. Unfortunately the kata made by Yamamoto Harusuke is the Inazuma, not Oroshi. Even so, great to see.
Awesome! 0:48 is yama oroshi
Strange music choice. Otherwise great.
I wish Japanese music was used. Or no music at all.
These are extremely valuable and well worth preserving
Now I understand! This just changed my life.... Thank you. I admit, it is weird to see this footage, and it is beyond my dreams to see it, but it also highlights my failing as a swordsman. At least some of them wear glasses, I think?...and may we never put the sword back in its scabbard...without first removing our thumbs or digits from the 'opening'. Sincerely, I thank you
Affascinante.
Kono sensei!!❤❤❤❤
Thank you for compiling this! Absolutely wonderful!
I'm looking forward to many more videos of Kobudou
Dude, it's blank.
Somakuri (Complete Cuts)
Nameless Sensei is Kamimoto Eiichi (紙本栄一) from Musô Shinden Ryû.
So many basic problems here, but okay, whatever. lol.
Unusual ? No, this is a steaming pile of garbage right from the beginning with his bow (rei ho) which is just so wrong in every way, hard to know where to start first in correcting. Second, no real knowledge of how to actually draw the sword effectively. Then what he appears to be describing and halfway demonstrating is a very poor attempt to mimic or riff off the iai found in Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu. Either he watched videos or learned from someone that watched videos, TSKSR omote embu has been available to watch since a lengthy Japanese documentary in the 1970's. Whatever made up lineage is claimed, I don't believe it.
This Japaneses man studied Kendo, in Japan. He studied Yoshukai Karate, under Katsuoh Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Koda. He is Kaicho, Hiroaki Toyama, 8th dan and US director of World Yoshukai Karate Kobudo Organization. He is a great man.
Yamamoto Harusuke sensei was performing "Yamaoroshi" in this video, not "Ukigumo"
On dirait que Hague Sagawa a oublié de passer sous la porte ..?
is this komei yjuku
Suwariwasa....?

Now for this one, I find it difficult for me because I'm tall. The oral instruction I understand is to unbalance your left escort and cut the right escort first... Here I also see other variables, a direct cut in a moment's notice unaware to both escorts. Another is a slight pause to draw upon the inattentive or lack of zanshin, and to strike at the awakening of awareness. Again, thanks for sharing these treasures.
Thank you for sharing the wealth of history through the treasure of these iaidoka. It's amazing to see the same ryuha performed by different practitioners. I'm not sure how many of them knew each other, trained together, taught and learned from one another. But the subtle differences don't really matter much when the objective is to cut the opponent down. I truly appreciate these pieces that you've put together.
I love the piece of seitei that snuck in around 3:00 mark )))))
Pure gems.
it was better when u had the different instructors by instructor. they have dif styles that didnt always translate. you had the best setup, its junk now. BOOO!!!👎🏼 im un subscribing.
有名だから見てみたものの… ガッカリした
Giant man-eating bear? Oh mamma!
Materiale davvero prezioso! Grazie!
Un kata commun avec le karatedo uechi ryu que j'ai pratiqué. Merci pour ces vidéos intéressantes.
Karate Iaido sounds weird to me. Still cool video.
I know, it is unusual, Katsuoh Yamamoto , founder of Yoshukai Karate, studied Chiro Ryu with Tsuyoshi Chitose Sensei. He also studied Iai, from an other Master in Kyushu. He once told me the name, but i lost my notes, I believe it may have been
A great art and the music fits perfectly !
Kono Hyrakuren's version is what i was taught MJER
Are they using real shinken? The close up shots of the blades look all chipped and dented?
I would not bet my head on it, but is is likely. Kono Hyakuren was the 20th headmaster of what was considered the main line of Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu before his death. That makes it very likely that he used shinken on a regular basis.
And this became the eleventh kata of seiti iai which was added to the original ten sometime after the 1980s. I'm not sure exactly when. Thank you for posting this fascinating video!

hiii!!! from a blue belt, we do semi-knockdown in our dojo to prevent anyone from getting hurt. the guy who teaches me is actually in the back! far left, wearing a gold belt. he's funny :)
Really appreciate your time and work. Thank you.
Did Gyakuto yesterday for about an hour. The differences in styles/masters are interesting.
always interesting to study and try to understand why it's done one way, or an other way !
Beautiful compilation. I practice Omori here in Montreal, Canada. Greetings.
Thank you Mikael. I have been practicing for many years in Alabama, Now I moved to France and would like to open a dojo.
