Love the video i finally got my hands on one 6 months ago and have to say i absolutely love it parts are very hard to get because they were not very popular on a side note they can be converted to Rwd buy using a ae101 awd drive train....they were extremely common in Ireland but id say there's probably less then 30 left here on the roads

The Koenigsegg engine showed, wasn’t a 2 valve either, it had 4 valve heads on it as shown.

Just so ya know, the S197 you showed as the “Coyote”, never had the Coyote engines. Those didn’t get put into S197s until the second year of the facelift, so 2011. 2010 was the oddball as it was the restyled S197 yet still had the 3 valve 4.6 engine. The 2005-2009 S197 was what you showed. My first Mustang was a Laser Red 1999 hardtop 5 speed. Great car, super reliable and fun. Since then I’ve owned two 2004 Mach 1’s….sold one but still have one. New Edges FTW!!

My Japanese girlfriend had the 1998 Toyota Trueno. It looked sporty but not no 2liter 4cyl. 5valve, dohc with 6pd manual.

You like it because of the way it looks. When it comes to sports cars, peoples first thing they look for in a specific segment of sports cars is the way way it looks. This car looks very good for its segment of sports cars and for its time. Why do you think people like the Mazda FD3S Spirit R RX7? Nissan Gloria? R32/3/4 skylines? Classic Land Rover Defender? No one talks about that Saturn Ion Redline or the pontiac grand prix gtb, or even that buick regal gs. Ugly cars. American cars are ugly in general. Good looking cars always sell. I agree the car should have cane here to USA and this car would have made it to the fast and furious movies, not as a hero car, but appear as a side piece.

Living in Ireland there was lots of them around during the early 2000s. I adored them and always wanted one. Drove my friends one a few times and did not like the seating position. The steering column would destroy my knee cap every time 😂. The engine, suspension, and exterior styling almost had me buy one, but never did. Always prefered them to the more common civic vtecs (that's also down to the stereotypical civic owners in Ireland back then 😂). Regret it now as I turned down 2 of them, both for less than €2k each. None left now 😢.

Super strut front suspension was a real gem in these cars. People who dont know this cars only talk about its engine. But the coolest part was suspension + engine since it handles supper well

Ae111 is a beautiful car. It’s exactly how the ae86 Trueno/Levin would evolve to in the 90’s. Great engine choice too. The only downfall is its FWD setup. Honestly, if it was RWD, it would have been a very coveted car today.

A bit of misinformation in this video The Levin/Trueno BZR had a c160 6 spd box. Factory power output of the blacktop was 156ps. The AE86 did not come with the 20v 4age blacktop from the factory it had a 16v in various configurations They are cool cars, used to be really cheap around 3k here so 1k USD ish. Problem with the bzr is the suspension, it is very expensive to maintain and needs replacing every 80-100,000km .

The AE111 is awesome, I don’t think fwd ruins it.

You can level the audio in software so one clip isn't significantly louder than the other. That goes for edited clips AND narration.

They were expensive to import even before they were legal in the US I wanted to import one in Canada at 15 years but they were like 10k+ I imported my Mitsu Colt Ralliart Version R for 5k and it's overall a way better car, but it doesn't have that sweet sweet 4AGE

I remember seeing these in Gran Turismo 5 and was just disgusted. Younger me: “This ain’t no dang Trueno!” But as I got older and lived in Japan, these are one of my favorites ! There are still a few out there on the market in great shape and price due to its unpopularity. Almost bought a black BZR Levin But I settled for something more “underrated”: Toyota Verossa 😂 Once I return to the states and if I see a mint one for sale, I’m definitely buying for sure! Toyota is life.

Corolla, in a worthiness of the name, died from AE86 > GRC. FWD cars were damn-near never designed to race, and it's like strapping a saddle on Bob and praying he might outrun an actual horse with enough redbull in em.

As a friend of mine told me, "The AE111 is a box that holds the Blacktop 4AGE." Kinda sad that this is how most people remember a very underrated car.

Used to be very common in Ireland back in the early 2000s but most have been scrapped now and the engines pulled for ae86s. I saw a really beat up one in Cyprus last year, they cost only 1-3k there

I put a silvertop and then later a blacktop into my Aw11 MR2. Fantastic engine. great video on an underappreciated car.
