Back with the rest of the Vectron unboxing. Along with the Vectron, we have a few other new toys. It took a few days to integrate them and make the other updates.

Taking a look back with my start in Marklin. Some of the early memories. AND an Old Lok with some new life. Not a lot of Loks in dad’s box, 4 of them, 2 electric and 2 steam. Vectron!

We have a new Lok. Our first Vectron, and our first ROCO. Willy likes the Vectrons. We will have a video with it actually running at some point. It will not run on the digital track, though it works on my analog test track.

That is one of the more stunning liveries on the Vectron. I remember in their 2024 catalog, Roco had announced they had reached 100 liveries of the 193s already. Nice one!!
Now only if I could get it to work. I think I am missing something in the settings. MS2 sees the chip and adds it, and nothing works. Grrrr. And the box tore open and other items are missing. Waiting for Lippe to get back to me.
60 years of cars. Märklin is bomb proof, so they always work. 🎉

How many cars are you pulling? My Big Boy pulled 41 cars w/o any problems: th-cam.com/video/NsCNltmry-U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IoOyF-hQVf0v9oVU, and I want to try 100 US freight cars once I have a layout big enough to accommodate this…
@tomsmaerklintrainlayout6742 it's 67 or 68. I think the long cars should count as 2 each. Then it would be 80. And I ran out of track.
@@wanndanneisenbahn I heard your comments about cars derailing. Most of my cars are new or relatively new, and quite a few have Marklin close couplers, so I think that helps...
@@tomsmaerklintrainlayout6742 I played with and reordered them before this video. I have on car with the 'new' style coupler and on 'old' style on the other end. Running the same couplers next to each other made a big difference.
@@wanndanneisenbahn I’m having an experience with the American-style Kadee and Horn-hook couplers. If they are not at exactly the same height, cars will uncouple over the slightest bump..

I like those Class 260 - this very classic model reached me in January 2022 and the new Telex was amazing. While presenting it in a video it failed due Murphy's law 🤣😂🤣 I've got some of this 'screw in the roof' models in various colors and have lot of fun playing with them. There is something changing when I upload the video. The original video does not look like this on the phone or my computer. The wide aspect ratio is from my phone. There is a 21:9 ratio setting. The grey color is frustrating.

Some say crane. Some say the hand of god. 🤔 IPA is a great cleaner. Oxidisation on old Track can be a problem. A Peco rubber for buffing can help old Track. Having limited scenery helps for access. 👍 Happy modelling

This was a plan in the book that came with the start set/ It was on page 20. We are not sure what exactly we want to build. I thought building different existing plans would be a good way to become familiar with the track.
