Fulfilling my dream of "Flying kite" thru' this kid!
The thing is......I have never flown a kite before in my life! 😞
So it was intriguing to watch this father trying very hard to get a kite into the air for his son. Err....a friendly uncle came to the rescue and they succeeded with a different kite. 😜
This kid is a natural! 😳 His kite was nearly tangled with another and he maneuvered his kite out of it and even knocked the other out of the sky!! 👏 👏
Well....this video has nothing much to do with my practice on using a gimbal. I tried running with it to test the stabilization and my arms are beginning to ache even with the hours at the gym. The weather was getting too hot and I was already sunburnt! 😅

Marine Cove Playground
มุมมอง 856 ปีที่แล้ว
I went to the playground at Marine Cove on East Coast Park to practice shooting subjects and try out some gimbal manoeuvres I have learned on TH-cam. This is probably the longest time I had spent on a children playground as an adult. Well...it was interesting and got addressed as "daddy" by some pre-school teacher who was not very happy that I'm filming them! I really need to work on manoeuvres...

I chanced upon this father and son at the beach this morning while testing and learning to use the gimbal I just bought recently. I silently intruded into their little private moment. As I move on to other scenes around the beach, I couldn't help but wondered how great it would be if I had a video of my father and I when I was a child. I then quickly wrote down my email on a piece of paper, wen...

Jigokudani's Precious Children [Snow Monkeys]
มุมมอง 8K7 ปีที่แล้ว
For viewers who may have limited time on hand, I condensed my video on My Trip to the Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park to focus on the young snow monkeys. Well…because watching children often brings us joy. Childhood, the age of innocence. It is no different for the young snow monkeys living in Jigokudani (Hell Valley). The children play, prank, learn, fight, throw tantrums and nap etc. All under th...

My Trip to Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park
มุมมอง 7K7 ปีที่แล้ว
My 1st impression of the snow monkeys was 20 years ago when I saw a satellite TV station's promo featuring baby monkeys in hot springs during winter and thinking they were so cute! They didn't cross my mind again until I stumbled upon the PBS Nature documentary on Snow Monkeys last year that sparked my deep curiosity in them. I began researching more information and watching other documentaries...

    I adore how they all gather and cuddle up close together to keep warm. Sweet monkeys. My favorite in the world are Snub nosed monkeys, but the most beautiful monkey in the world to me in the Japanese Snow Monkeys 🤩😍🥰

    All mother monkeys wean their young. Some earlier than others, especially if their environment is a high stress one with a damaged hierarchy, which is often caused by human interference. It doesn't take a genius to know what I'm talking about. Anyway, some environments call for an earlier weaning than others, it would be referred to as accelerated maturation. If there is an inordinately higher alpha turnover in a given place the need for earlier weaning becomes necessary to ensure the survival of the young. Because of this early weaning, (which, for example: macaques generally begin weaning at approx 5 months and is complete by age 1.5+ years old.), many people become upset when they witness the process. It does look rather harsh, even abusive if you don't know the behavior of macaques, but in a dysfunctional or high turn over of alphas it can begin when the infant is roughly 4 weeks old. It can even begin earlier. Mother's will try to multi train their babies by teaching them how to walk and follow, AND wean at the same time. Those tantrums you see where the infant is hopping around like a spider on a hot griddle is not because he or she is being abused, it is because mom is trying to teach them to walk and follow her and to not expect nursing all day. She puts baby on a schedule, night feeding is beneficial for both mom and baby. The infants also don't want to not be able to hitch a ride on mom and will throw themselves down and scream and cry for her to come and pick him up. He/she needs to learn to walk and follow. Now there's an area where too many people with cameras disrupt this process, and it appears the mother is being abusive and neglectful. She's actually doing it exactly right. The only abusive parenting that is common is monkeys in captivity. They usually experienced maltreatment from their own mother abusing them or their siblings, or witness another mother monkey abusing her young. Monkeys in captivity are under a great deal of stress and will react in a way you'd expect. Harshly, violently even. But in the wild? It is not common for a mother to consciously abuse her infants.

    Yes these babies that very thick skin and a high pain tolerance so for one it would take a good bit of pressure to puncher the skin and second the baby is just throwing a fit and not actually in pain/hurt. I gotta say I'm super jealous you got the chance to interact with these fascinating creatures. 😋

    Hello, sparkblessedbe. How are you? There's something I'd like to ask you🙏🙏🙏 Now I am looking for the info about Mozu's family who was transferred to to newly opened zoo in Anhui Hefei (安徽省 合肥) in 1997. I think you gave me some info (in Chinese) with pictures of that monkeys in cage. I think you posted in this ↓↓video's comment section th-cam.com/video/4sVxmZ5VSeU/w-d-xo.html but I couldn't find it. Could you post again that info? I just want to show in person (not on social media) for some reason. I can't write details here now but this is for Hagachizaki's matter 😚. I think I can tell you latter on.

    Thanks for the video, it looks to me that Moses has turned into a spoiled brat! Wonder how he will do now that mom has ANOTHER baby? Thanks again, I very much enjoyed it.

    • @sparkblessedbe
      @sparkblessedbe 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, Toimu (Moses' real name in the park's official records that Kiyo went to verify) have 2 younger brothers after him including the current new born. The brother after him does not stick around Tokkuri 00 much and I suspect it was due to Toimu possessiveness over his mother. From Kiyo's video and explanations, that brother has been cared for by his older sisters and has become very independent for such a young age. I think it may be different for this current baby as Toimu was no where seen in Kiyo's recent video on Tokkuri 00 and her new born. Toimu will be 2 years old now and should be exploring and wrestling with the other boys by now. Thanks for watching and leaving comments, Elaine! 😀

    The relationship between Kuro-san and the keepers/staff is very interesting.

    • @sparkblessedbe
      @sparkblessedbe 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha. I do think they have a special relationship. They are both protectors of the troop and Kuro-san sees that they are his allies. Whoever (visitors) try to touch or do anything funny with his family gets to suffer the wrath of the long loud whistle and string of gestures signalling "you are not allowed to do that"! Kuro-san also sees them as his faithful provider. I witnessed Kuro-san going to the yellow food station (outside of feeding time) while a staff was nearby and the staff opened the food station just to find him a treat. Kuro-san even ate it out of his hand!! I was like wow....he never seems to let humans get too close to him and yet he is eating out of this staff's hands! This shows he trust them. Thanks for watching!

      Thank you, Possum! Yes, I also think he is now mummy's boy, but we will never know...if he grows faster and bigger, he may have alpha potential someday. Just look at how aggressive he was with his sister who is bigger than him.
