This is a catch-all statement for all of Kalani's cadence/ play-alongs/ progressions/ blues (starting with this Andalusian in Am play-along.) I'm finally getting to a level of playing that I'm joining small jam sessions and the first thing I learned is that nobody is going to stop and wait for me to catch up if my chord changes & keeping time are sloppy. This is the only TH-cam site I've found where I can play along to the beat and music and practice chord changes and strumming. Over & over, as often as I like. The other great thing is that when I started playing my uke I was determined to understand music theory and maybe I'm dense but after struggling to understand a half dozen books and on-line stuff I feel like just maybe I've found something that will get through my thick brain. Been some aha-moments where I begin to recognize some connections. This is great and I think my practicing for a while will stop here for some time. Kudos, Kalani, this is a happy discovery!

This is what I have struggled with the most. I couldn’t ever progress because my strumming couldn’t keep. I had no idea what to even look up until I was watching a piano tutorial. The metronome will be so helpful with bringing the rhythm to me. No one ever talks about this in ukulele videos. Thank you!!

Wished the bottom line should be the A string as the A string is at the bottom when you hold the ukulele. But that's just me.

Geez, it’s so f’in obvious that one should leave enough “tail” on the A-1 string to loop it back through all of the other three loops, to have it emerge at the top of the 4th string. (Yes, this requires that one does not tighten all the other loops to closure first). It’s almost painful to watch you “short” the A-1 string, then seem to be completely clueless as to whether you can loop the A-1 string back. It’s pretty simple. Don’t short the first string (like you do here); leave enough string to return the tail back through the loops of the G-C-E. Don’t tighten the G-C-E with pliers until you’ve put on the A-1. Then, tighten up all of them after the A-1 has been threaded “up” through the other three loops.
