Don't play video games while you're fishing like dad says
Thank you for all the info.
WTF is going on here??? shes not even reeling the fish un?
Great way of doing it! Do you thinn it would work well with anchovies also?
wow that's big how do they taste?
Nice first Butt! Bet she was glad to have that electric reel!! Well done guys!!
Do you need the electric rod for those little things
Fishing 600’ down with a 3lb lead, yes an electric reel is a must
Dude. No. Don't let them ruin fishing too. Please. Throw it away
Electric reels are the way most anglers fish long leader as you need to use a 3lb weight to get down to 600’ deep. I agree it would be ridiculous to use an electric reel for other methods of angling.
Are you actually using an electric rod?????
600’ deep with a 3lb lead, electric reel is how most anglers long leader fish
it die?
His face is priceless. Love Albacore sushi...🍣
Fast-forwarded to the end, and confessing my ignorance: what species of fish was that? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Like a champ!
Good job You resisted the temptation to over work your gear. You kept your cool and pushed through the not so fun stuff and you were rewarded
Way to go!!!
What boat do you have?
I’m definitely going to try that one! Thank you😎
Did you have any issues with yellowjackets?
I'm going to try this on one rod, thank you for sharing!
3 minutes of talking until you start to rig the herring?
Well I know what the D in your name stands for...
ok, tiktok brain
Thanks for taking the time and effort to make this video.
choked herring
What were you using for bait?
How long the line?
I use a 48” or 60” leader
is that an alumaweld blackhawk? looks like my boat
John what pound test is that? I usually run 40lb Maxima Ultra Green and I’m having trouble with the half hitches coming loose off the lips while trolling. Maybe I need to since the lips tighter...
I also use #40 ultra green, don’t be afraid to cinch it down super tight
Good video John! Thanks for posting it. I've heard that rigging method called a "Choked" herring. I'll be sure to give it a try! Good luck bud!
I use 40 maxima ultra green, yes pull tight to secure those half hitches. Good luck!
is that kicker motor spotlock?
Please drop the music😬
John really
Sup
Thank-you for sharing, looks like a fantastic day. I have to say, the music is super distracting, I had to watch on mute.
awesome video keep it up 👍
New subscriber here. I just caught a 25&1/2” one yesterday and missed a huge one that grabbed a sea bass I had on my hook. We tried to net it but our bet was small enough that it didn’t quite get in far enough to stay. 😩
No dirt bikes... Wowzer... YOU forgot em... Not even a buggy??? Y'all need to work on that lol lol
Big Ole Lings. Nice Jama Boat!!!
When did it dry up ?
Awesome! Great work John!
Like those downpours.
I believe that this one was caught at Salmon Falls Reservoir. I think the new state record was caught at Oakley Reservoir. Both in South Central Idaho. Memo: This may be the one caught at Oakley, not totally sure.
What lake bed or part of Nevada? Cool video!
did you find if it was for sure and was you able to sell it? my wife and i found what we beleive to be one but not sure what to do now...we want make sure it is and sell it of course.
in Lake MCconighey Ogallala, Nebraska the game and parks shocked and found more that 5-8 20+ pound walleye while they were milking the females for eggs and the ones that were over 20 we already milked lol so yea i cant wait to see the fish that beats my 14 lb 6 oz ive caught this year :D
