I feel that the base difficulty of ranged checks should be used as just one of many of the factors of the shot. A Short Range shot should only be 1 Difficulty if the shooter and target are stationary and the shooting conditions are placid.

Great over view! I've been running a campaign for about two years and love to improvise. But I like your thoughts on prep. I am going to be making a story board/flow chart for my players to organize their contacts and locations and let them see how they fit relatively to each other.

I get why I've seen this same comparison made by you and others because 100 yards feels like a lot. But in the US Marines the rifle range for qualification is 200 yards at the closest and 500 yards at the furthest. You'd be surprised at how easy it is to hit the target at 200 and 300 yards.

What is the difference between the original 3 books (EotE, AoR, F&D) compared to the newest book that has the sequel series printed on it? Thats the only book I can find for sale thats not over $100 nowadays

Hmm I didn’t agree with rules. So what I did was instead of decreasing ur obligation to get my exp or more credits. I took alook at morality and duty. So I said: all players get 50 duty,morality or obligation across the board regardless of alignment/species. Exp is 200 regardless of species. Credits is 3000 for weapons gear&equipment. But not go past their strain. As obligation class if u choose a old republic clone wars Star Destroyer or old republic clone wars frigate ur givin 120k for ship upgrades,attachments&mods). If u have another player who wants to share credits. So instead of 120k. It will be 240k credits all together. But if u choose a freighter/patrol boat ship. Then ur out all the costs. Basically ur at the mercy of the GM.👈🏻Samething with duty&morality. Because the game cheats. I would allow the players make bad decisions&it might cost them morality/duty. For example. They murder a npc it wasnt good idea/goes against the ailments. Just count how many times u murdered. Ohh oops forgot They add their brawn&wound. Add their strain&wisdom. 10 wound plus brawn equals what. Wisdom plus 10 strain equals what. For the species(Use the human stats for brawn,wisdom,wound&strain). Also they pick the duty,obligation or morality alignment they want. instead of rolling for it. As for career class skills: if ur in the obligation career class decide to jump into a obligation non career it doesn’t cost double. Duty to jump duty non career doesn’t cost double. Morality career to jump morality non career doesn’t cost double. But if u cross duty career and want to go jump into a morality class then double. same goes for obligation to duty or morality to duty. Or morality to obligation.

I already have the core rule books. Most of the sourcebooks for Star Wars AoR,F&D and EoTE. I even colored copied off the ones I’ve got with the important parts of the rules. So it will make it easier. the core rule books&sourcebooks add rules. Are alittle confusing/vague. Oh forgot I colored copied off the important parts of the rules. The rest are just fillers. But I’m getting some ideas. This video is informative,calming&helpful.

I have a question. Let's say for using manipulation you want an NPC to attack another NPC in combat. If you use manipulate and successfully roll, would the GM have to roll an attack for that NPC to then be successful in the action itself?

I attended my first holiday party at my local game store. I got back into table top gaming during the pandemic. I approached a fellow gamer and inquired what type of game he plays. He replied RPGs that are Star Wars Related. I was intrigued and educate me. I played a little D&D in the sixth grade. There is a series that has 3 themes. I purchased the beginner guides that are available. The game series is going to another company. Fantasy Flight is discontinuing the series. The company will be reprinting the rpg this year. I am late to the party and grateful you created the SWRPG Tutorial. I have Force and Destiny Beginner, Edge of Empire Beginner and Core, the Force Awakens Beginner, Unlimited Power to get started. My gaming collection now has a RPG that I love. I researched the YT channels and was not happy with the teachers and learning the game. I discovered you channel and subscribed. I am taking my time and watching your videos and taking notes. Looking forward playing the game with seasoned players and learning from them.

One question, at 10:30 you give an example of 5 Tusken Raiders using Brawl. They average skill (2 green). When you upgrade them based on number of minions -1, that woudl be mean with 5 raiders you upgrade skills via 4. Meaning their brawl would go to 2 Yellow and 2 Green, not 2 Yellow and 3 Green correct?

My worst case contrarian was a player that went against what the party wanted to do, talked the players into his Avenue of progress, then acted contrary to the idea that he originally suggested. There was never any pleasing this player.
