Egypt got 70-80% of their surrounded by Israeli troops and most of their equipment was destroyed by the time the U.N and the U.S pressured Israel to accept a ceasefire with Egypt to prevent the total destruction of Egypt. Also Syria surrendered a few days earlier to Israel when Israeli troops started to approach Damascus.
