    Thing is, we automatically are going to be less confident in the things a majority of people are so confident in, because we are not wired to excel in those things, situations, and areas. The problem is, we are judged for that lack of confidence, and when we are confident in what we are wired to excel in, it's like it's to late, and we are overlooked, or not believed.

Be honest because infj men have some good game, we tend to avoid relationships and hookup culture until we feel we are in a spot worthy to date and fool around we dont look at TH-cam videos and justify why we single. @ - The Myers-Briggs test was created in the 1930s by a mother-daughter journalist duo that were struggling during the Great Depression. So they, both non scientist, came up with the idea of creating a pop-culture test for a magazine. Although they borrowed a general idea from actual noted psychologist Carl Jung from his research in the 1920s, the Myers-Briggs test is not based on science. It’s why there are no ‘bad results’. EVERYONE gets awesome results. No results are negative. No results yield that someone’s personally is flawed, broken, depraved, or any other negative descriptions. Even the official Myers-Briggs organization will tell you that the test is for entertainment purposes only, and why no real scientist uses the Myers Briggs, except for fun and games. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    For me there are three main reasons behind INFJs being misunderstood. The first is the combination of Ni and Ti. Introverted intuition working with introverted thinking. We don't always think about patterns they just have meaning and information. Second, you couple that with introverted thinking where an INFJ fully understands his/her conclusions made in their brain. They understand something to their bones. But when it comes to putting those thoughts into language they don't have, or can't find the words to express all of these thoughts with brevity. For those reasons INFJs do not like being put on the spot, but they can prepare a presentation or notes for a meeting. Intuition isn't something you can easily explain. If you have advanced timing to think about how to phrase something that can be done easier. Even having thought about and talkled about a topic in the past will make those words flow like a river. I would say we all have some thoughts that don't equate to language. Trying to explain that as an INFJ can be overwhelming. There is also the concept of resignation to conversation. Knowing it would take a long time to explain an idea when the other person is not familiar with the topic can lead to the INFJ not trying a whole lot to be concise. Extraverted feeling is another consequential component to INFJs being misunderstood. We know if someone doesn't believe what we are saying and that can make INFJs anxious. Most of the time people don't think its hard to understand you, they just completely misunderstand you, and that can easily be read by an INFJ in conversation. THE NUMBER ONE reason for these misunderstandings is that the 98% of people who are not INFJs refuse to believe there are people out there who are honest and have pure intentions. When the 2nd party in the conversation would not do something unless it beneits them, they believe the INFJ doing or saying it is being deceptive and trying to gain something. It's that simple more times than not. I guess it depends on the audience. But this is why INFJs seek deep and meaningful connections over casual acquaintances. I guess that is more than three. Apologies.

    • @Jasonwritescode
      @Jasonwritescode 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Oh yeah, we also parse our own words in real time based on the person and our relationship with them. INFJs understand how much simple word choice will express something different to different people. That is exhausting. But its true. It can be seen by them pausing mid sentence. They aren't thinking about the best way to put something into words. They are thinking about the best way to express an idea with as much clarity as possible for that specific person.

    • @Jasonwritescode
      @Jasonwritescode 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's why they need alone time to recharge batteries after social situations. Recharging often includes going over what you said the day before to judge yourself. You try to help people. You know when you are misunderstood and think of how to better express it in that context next time. And largely, just covering your own bases. Reflecting. And planning ahead. That makes INFJs feel better. Right now I feel tired. Did I say too much? Will they understand? Am I going to regret this? Did I do something good as intended? .....that's all for today.

      @@ebline You're welcome.

  • @Jasonwritescode
    @Jasonwritescode 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

    There's no duality to being an INFJ. These things are relevant for immature or unhealthy INFJs. A healthy/matured/detached/whatever you want to call it INFJ has learned that leaning into their strengths and behaving accordingly will not face these unfortunate occurrences in any kind of meaningful way. Instead they see the world for what it is, and what will happen before it does. It bothers me when this distinction is not made. The world of a young INFJ and an INFJ who has learned his lessons are mutually exclusive.

    • @Jasonwritescode
      @Jasonwritescode 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Important! Younger or newly awakened INFJs need to know they are not alone and these "truths" are not their fault. However that very same INFJ needs to know they are not doomed to this life and it doesn't have to be this way. Through their hard times they can become what is often called a Sigma INFJ. I would go so far as to say your (and other creators) videos contradict each other without that clarity made visible.

    This is the best video that I have seen that addresses this topic. Hybrid INTJ/INFJ. When I was at the top of my career in my late-thirties, I was offered, most times without an interview, VP and director positions in both Marketing and Engineering positions at both my employer and our customers. I left Intel after 15 years (started directly out of college) when they forced me to become a manager. Then I left the next company I worked for just as I was being promoted to a Divisional VP position (most likely 100 employees or more). At the same time, I was offered an executive VP position at one of my customers, a Director of HW Engineering at a Billion Dollar company and a couple of VP positions at other companies I worked with including a company that had 500 mil of VC that was going to create a new company based on the work I was doing in the industry if I was willing to join as the executive VP. This all happened within six months. As much as I was flattered by these offers, I could not do it even though it meant losing out on these six to seven figure opportunities with stock options. The irony is that I never had even manager in my title before I got all these promotion attempts and outside offers. To be honest, I have not for a minute regretted turning these opportunities down. They would have made my life miserable!!! Your observation about feeling like an imposter was spot on. I could not imagine why these companies were nuts enough to make these offers.

    Some of the best advice I have received was from a friend when I was very concerned about my niece which is a sociopath was marrying a very kind good man. My friend asked me if I was close to either my niece or her soon to be husband. I said no, which was the fact of the situation. He told me that since I was not close to either of them that it was not responsibility. He impressed on me that I need to focus my attention on people that I was close to and make an impact in their lives. When I get overwhelmed by what is going on in my big or small world, I apply this standard, and it really helps me to focus on what I can affect and ignore my desire to affect what I can't.

    I am an INTJ/INFJ hybrid. I have these conversations in my head all the time. I worked in high tech as an engineer where I was mostly INTJ. In my personal life I was mostly INFJ. I took the test when I was an Engineer at Intel. The Test Coordinator was flustered when she interviewed me going over my results. She even tried asking me questions to see if I fell on either side of the divide with no luck. Out of the 500 employees in the division I was the only one that was either an INTJ or INFJ. She told me that I should find an occupation that matched my personality better. The irony was that I was in the top 1 or 2 percent in rankings over the years even though I tried my best to stay under the radar and would not move into management. I finally after doing much research of the personality types have come to accept what I am can even enjoy it now. Seeing both sides of things can be very wearing.

    INFJs naturally have a high frequency. Egocentric people will react bad to them because of it. INFJs are authentic and they don’t do small talk with pleasure nor cooperate with narcissists games.

    As an INTJ I'm offended by the first one. I don't feel a sense of superiority unless it's merited. And there's a huge difference between arrogance and confidence. We are are confident in our ability by using logic, rationality, and past experiences before teach any conclusions. We don't blindly feel superior or confident.

    I was recently deeply betrayed. I have not once mistrusted my judgment. I still haven't. I Did, however, become deeply offended - and angry. I rolled out an exceedingly rare, slowly gathered monster. I both did and did not mean to. It took on a written, and shared, life of its own. I'm still really ticked of for having been pushed that far. The only thing than makes me more angry than being angry is being unnecessarily pushed there.

    None of these characteristics is a surprise to me. The surprise came recently when I discovered there is a label for me.
