When I added the scavengers I was surprised how well it synced with the deck. Did good work on the opponents GY and with the counters popping all over it became a force!

Heartfire Hero is going to be a pain in BO1 for a long time :P

I'm making the deck based around Vraska right now, but took a min to reply to your message :) All the suggestions you made are viable. And I totally agree about the Innkeepers Talent. It such a solid card when it is left to its devices. If Vraska pops out, its an instant game over! I should have the video out this week sometime. My next deck is coming out tomorrow, its a Gruul deck I put together over the weekend.

The more I use it, the more I'm impressed. Once an opponent gets low, it becomes the defacto finisher.

Good thing I enjoy making these vids and hope that eventually many others will agree with you! :) Mono green has a soft spot for myself. I've won live tourneys with it and they are always fun to play. In todays meta though, its a tough sell since there are so many anti creature cards. Green can't always play to its strength with big beefy creatures since the game could be over by turn 5 or 6. Maybe the next set might help out with that. Fingers crossed!

@@CSmania1991 Thanks for the sub! I had made a Blue/Green/White Doppleganger deck (th-cam.com/video/L82ITrHr5pI/w-d-xo.html). I think with the rotation most of it should carry over with only a few adjustments. I'll have to play a bit with the new set to see how things settle. I can guarantee I'll eventually make a mono green deck when the new set comes out. I don't get into spoilers too much (did my eyes deceive me or did Birds of Paradise get reprinted?!) so I'm not positive what will make the most impact yet.

The tiny splash of red was for the high noon sac ability. 5 dmg any target is useful and can still be used any turn regardless of the one spell a turn limitation. The Lockdown suggested would decimate the deck. Removing the Thalia and High Noons and Thrulls. Basically all the control. The depopulate would also be problematic. Since much of the control and suppression come from creatures. Thalia. Thrulls. Archangels. Vindicator. Skrelv. >And many more... You have 0 >protection! This was something I wasn't thrilled with either. Makes the deck feel a little clunky. Other than the times Thalia turns the two drops into three drops, there isn't any. Keeping the casting cost cheap was another main contributor and to save extra slowdown in casting spells due to Thalia. That being said the High Noons are key and the deck keeps that in mind with the flash, instant and ability cards. It has ways to keep active while still keeping your opponent under wraps as exampled in the matches exhibited. >Good luck with it. The decks posted here will be solid and will do well in a good players hand. They're usually fun or have a theme. Hey there! Thanks for checking this out! I mentioned in the deck breakdown that I replaced the Elspeth planeswalker with Radiant Grace. I found that the casting cost of Elspeth prohibited it from being utilized properly. The switch to Radiant Grace made the deck faster, gave more utility and in some ways was more annoying to my opponents.

Thats a great tip! With your prompting, I just did a test using the software I edit with and it appears, at least initially, to have made a large difference! Thank you very much! And also thanks for the compliment towards the deck! Once I settled down on the final form it was a lot of fun!

I had tried those in one of my previous incarnations with this deck. I also tried out Diabolic Intent. Both had their uses and benefits (I also tried some cards with sacrifice a creature for benefits.) The skeleton that the Case provides needs to be blocked to die as it can't block anything. Settled with Beseech to get the card into play and get things going one turn sooner. Turn 4 to run into Turn 5 kill.

Yikes! Thats not good. Mind if I ask a couple questions to trouble shoot? Is it the game audio thats low, or my audio? Is the volume low in any of my other vids?

Thanks for checking it out! It was fun to set up. Those turns when you realize they can't kill the Bloodletter .. omg, you know it can end any turn now. The match that the red deck had me down to 4 and they were 18. Delicious.

The End was part of the deck concept at one time. I wanted to cut down on casting costs and to use Proliferate creature removal. You could easily take out some of those to add The End and it would do fine.

It's CC is mostly the reason. Very powerful. It is usually the only play the turn it comes out and puts many eggs into a large basket. The game is filled with so many board wipes or sacrifice that it makes this card too much when there is already so many great picks for Black.

Do you know the time stamp when that happened? I vaguely remember but offhand I can't exactly recall. It might have been I was trying to add poison counters to my opponent. Could also have simply been an error, which I'm totally capable of :P

@@furegbnola5681Heya again! Thanks for making the effort to get those time stamps! In the beginning, I was looking at keeping pressure on my opponent and fattening up the board for a potential Sunfall board wipe (to get a bigger token, and if I drew the All Will Be One then it would pop off a large attack from the creation of the token). Then I was keeping the control on the board to get after the Emperor by making more mites. The goal being to keep them off balance until I found that enchantment. I knew one use of the artifact with that AWBO and it was over, and I didn't plan to get the win con via calendar. It was just bad luck that I had my deck down to the low 20s before I got a hold of AWBO and by then the calendar was going to win anyway.

It took me a sec to realize you were speaking about an Alchemy card. Hah. Its quite the crazy card. Black and probably White don't matter much; their creature kill cards usually eliminate without damage. Its a holy terror for Red. I'm unaware of the Alchemy meta since I only focus on Standard Ranked BO1 so I don't know if the current meta there is a Red heavy as the BO1 standard is. (Only so much time in the day! I'm WAY behind my Nintendo video updates lol). With cavern of souls I don't count Blue for much these days. It would be hard to find space here. It takes up a 3 spot, which is already tight with little room to remove those and the two card slot is light so taking any of those out hinders your early game which is already kind slow. Looking at the 4 card its a tough argument to remove any HR, they play into the 6,7,8 casting cost too much to think the Speartail is a fair trade. Then you're looking at the beef of the deck to replace. Ugh. I have to say, the best I could squeeze is 1 less Chomp, 1 less yearling, and then I'm not sure lol. Testing would need to be done to see how the deck handles. Getting dinos out later as beef +tax would be a good game ending situation.

As a Blue player from days gone by, my love for card draw is near primal for MTG. I want Library of Alexandria back please! But I digress ... There are few options keeping with the Dino theme, but I look at the Paleontologist as a sort of graveyard card draw. One of the matches in this video actually has that ability come into play and gives me the win. Its not ideal, and I'm all ears if you have any ideas :)

@@bigdingaling The only card I can think of would be the 6 drop Dino that draws cards based on Dino cards you have on board but this only works if you didn’t get board wiped the turn before lol

I had similar thoughts. Toooooo pricy. Most other card draws are slow. Just beat them by turn 5 and not worry lol

So abusive. I've been using it in a few decks without big beefy just from the constant +1/+1 being added.

It was something I had thought about to protect against the odd board wipe, but the deathtouch from either of the 1 drops made many big beef hesitate. Thanks for the question!

I wouldn't consider you a newb. Might be out of touch with the current meta since those days we played many moons ago, but the games fundamentals still apply today. The similar thought occurred to myself also. I made a few changes to the deck listed here, 5 cards actually, but it made a lot of difference. I'm rendering the latest video with those changes and get the last three wins before I ranked into Diamond. Should be up tomorrow. Thanks for the input bud!

Of Loyalty? One previous version of the deck I did give it a shot. In the end, the casting cost of the enchantment was many times a 'win-more' card. I wanted to keep the casting costs down in the end and cut it.

@@bigdingaling Yea I mainly just use it for the 2 cost -3/-3 gain 2 life.I don't make a black deck without it just too good of a card.The enchantment side is mainly for control decks.

@@Nosfeast Good points. That card would work well here also. I would look at the Toshiro Umezawa or the Fateful Absence for replacement card slots.
