(The Lodge, Sandy, Bedfordshire). Growing up in Kent in the 70's, 80's and 90's, I became a bird lover. I remember writing to the RSPB at 'The Lodge' year after year as a member and supporter as well as ordering bird food and nest boxes. The footage of the Great Tit (my favourite wild bird) together with the entire video contents is one of historical beauty! Thank you so much!

I visited Elba with my Aunt (Zia Vera) and cousin in the 80's. Such a beautiful island! I remember the Communist posters - like at minute 3:48 ! Zia Vera was a life long Communist having lived in Rome (with my mum and the family obviously) under fascism. Your video together with basic footage as shown at minute 3:48 expresses not only the beauty of Isola D'Elba but also the history and politics of the nation as a whole. Thank you for such wonderful footage!

In 1982 I had just gotten my hardship license and my buddy and I headed to Canyon Lake for our PADI scuba diving certification. We always wore Hawaiian shirts of Fridays and almost got our asses kicked in La Grange when we stopped at DQ for food. Luckily, having our Mom's drop us off at scuba school to the laughter of pretty much anyone in a one mile radius who saw this hardened us for this adventure!

This brought back many memories, I lived and worked in these areas between 1970 and 1990. Thanks for the film.

Someone caught London at its best - just before it was culturally enriched

I lived and worked in London at the time. Perhaps the biggest difference is that it felt less claustrophobic back then. Far fewer people around and easier to move around.

This is not the Palace Pier in Brighton. This is actually Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Then at 1:33 you see a Blackpool tram and the Blackpool Tower.

I remember Whitby in the seventies but don’t remember a zoo either

In 1979 I was working in a small company producing home computers. Seven years after this film the first mobile phones were appearing. This really is not that long ago at all. Interesting to see none the less.

I was on vacation in Germany in 1979 / Sweden

Sölden has changed so much! Totally different place Today. Did manage (before it got replaced few Years ago) to go up with that one seated lift.. and it felt so high (and scary) because optic illusion when looking down the valley on right (going up) side. Felt like hovering high in the air without almost any support. Thank You for sharing this rare film from the past! :)

What a gem from near past! So much is changed, but so much looked same. I found Montafon nearly 30 Years after this film was shot and fell to that place on my first visit. 1985 was still time of pure innocence. :) Thank You for sharing!
