GLADIATOR WARRIOR P4 PVP GUIDE - IS IT GOOD?
Tentative P4 Gladiator PVP guide. Just remember all content and info is subject to change since this is only PTR info currently. Warrior is very gear dependent, so depending on what gear we get next phase can really determine the final build we run with. This is what I am using for now and I hope it helps you guys out!

What happened to Glad Stance PvE? Is it not competitive with dw or 2h fury?
A question for you who test this - would the Prot-talent Defiance (5pt) work in Gladiator Stance for the times you wanna gå a'tanking?
Is there any pve variant? for me to use gladiator as dps
would love a pvp guide for vs mages, atm im struggling a bit unless i got shield wall up, i have all these dashes now with warbringer but they have so many blinks now
Hi Ashand, thanks for sharing your guide. where can I find your gears and enchants information? If I'm looking for prot warr pvp should I get full protect gears or rank gears?
Be sure to obtain full tier 1. And the one correction I have from this video if you cant get felstriker is to get deathbringer for a weapon.

@@Ashandvids im having a big problem versus shamans, that decoy totem can easily kite me, 10 secs free action and 20cd on that totem is crazy...
@@tedtiri1886 shamans are very overtuned in my opinoin. Your best bet against htem is stacking fire rez gear and hoping to burst them down... youll lose 8/10 duels against a good shaman
@@Ashandvids i just had some pvp in phase 5 bg, rumors says bliz has tuned down pvp damage, but boomies are still op, im 4R10 4T1 set, with deathbringer and shield, still very little chance to win R10 boomie, starfire got me 1.7k and each sunfire tic was 660, seems quite imbalance

Just wondering do you switch to Defensive Stance when casting Sunder Armor since Devastate requires D stance to proc, or do you just stay in Glad stance the whole time and get Sword and Board rune procs exclusively from Revenge?

Some people are doing it in PVE! I tank in PVE so I am not really great person to ask
THANK YOU for putting just straight up WPVP the entire video instead of jumping around in character inspect. It means I can SEE what you're talking about and why I should give a fuck.
Execute doesn't scale with AP, and I'd run heroic strike with a fast weapon, it juices your output considerably, you'll have plenty of rage to dump with HS
more about the rage build up you should obtain in the build. Not AP scaling with execute.

how does tanking in glad stance work? i thought you lose the dmg reduction and the threat multiplier?
I guess the title is a little misleading, you don’t run gladstance when tanking. Defensive stance all the way for now. Gladiator stance is the stance I am in most of the time since I mainly pvp
What about flurry axe with life steal and HoJ trinket w wind fury proc using sunder/devastate? Is that 16 chances for a proc?
I’m not sure. There needs to be a ton of testing on some of my theories on this. Need a few more items to see if it even works.
What tank spec do you play where you’re not rage starved?
I’m playing a 17/3/31 tank spec currently. Haven’t had a chance to make an updated video since life has been busy. But threat is definitely tough but gear is really importabt

Great content! There is not a lot of glad warrior content out there from what I'm seeing so far. I know you are mainly PVP but is there maybe a chance you would a like a PVE / leveling glad content build / guide? Keep up the great work :)
Thanks brotha! I need to figure out a good build for Glad PVE. To be quite honest, glad warrior in PVE is great for survivability, but when it comes to raw raid damage, its just not the best. So I have opted to tank this phase. Tanking has been a blast. I can maybe run through a tank guide?

I think situationally shockwave could be a pick for battle grounds and group pvp.

Yeah - Shield Slam, which is last talent in Protection is required for the buff each point in Defence over 300 is converted to 4 AP for 15 Seconds after Shield Slam is used.

Can you please insta do videos on phase 4 lvl 60. I play ur exact build right now with same items and it's the most fun I had on warrior since years. You can already almost 1v1 everyone. With engi mages die so fast cause they don't expect the silence etc. It's just fun
Absolutely, I started doing this as a hobby for now. I work full time with lots of overtime so ill try and get a video out asap when P4 comes out.

@@whateverenjoyer yea! The plan currently is to make a video next Sunday and post before raids open up. My advice right now/my direction I’m going with gear is doing what I can to get any gear with these three stats as priority. Stamina, shield block value and defense rating. Every rating of defense counts as 2 strength for prot gladiator warriors. I am out of town for this whole next week

I'm doing glad stance in stv and being mocked by some wheelchair paladin for not having mortal strike even though we dealt the same damage, he died first, and I protected the healer.

Meat hook should be mob only.
I think its fine the way it is. It can currently be dodged, blocked, parried, and miss.
You can also cast abilities while being hooked. Blind, between the eyes, etc all work.
@@Ashandvids You mean because all range classes have great chances for dodge, block, and parry, and the warrior can't even reach pvp hit cap? Yea, right.
@@Ashandvids The abilities you listed are all INSTANT, which is the opposite from CAST.

Glad is dead outside ofa dps/clutch off tank situation, Mortal Strike 2hander is still king in PVP
@@zugoon I think duelers would disagree. Gladiator is the better dueling spec for warriors 100%. If you want to run BG’s nonstop arms warriors will be best

@@tommyb.c.6011 absolutely, on PTR things are subject to change. So before I do a really in depth guide I’m going to wait for the phase to release.
You could consider 5 points in Anticipation for an extra 40 Attack Power I guess?
This is something I have been looking at but haven’t pulled the trigger on yet
Been going 5/10/36 for this reason. I don’t know if I get crit enough for that many points in fury
@@whitej284 Indeed. With this much defense/block/dodge/parry, we shouldn't be seeing so many crits against us, right? That's why I think Deep Wounds could be better in Phase 4 tbh 13/5/33
@@whitej284 I’ll have to relook back at the vods of the duels to see uptime on both talents. But keep in mind, as it gets later in the phase, crit will be higher and higher. Also, with Felstriker available for rogues, I imagine we will run into it quite a bit. So going all the way down the fury tree will more than likely be worth it

I’m glad someone mentioned gladiator for pvp in p4. I tested the build in pvp duel for a few days now and it seemed to me to be pretty op, especially with the new sudden death rune. The only class I couldn’t beat up were tank warlock (obviously), mage if they play really well with frozen thing, and hunter if they place their traps very well and maintain range. All the others you can win without much difficulty it seems as sudden death + sunder armor does a lot of damages. Also gladiator beats up any other warrior spec by any mean.
Gladiator was really really good in P3 as well compared to arms warriors

idk man, something about being prot and pvp doesn't compute in my brain... Hope they fix stuff around so we don't have prot tanks roaming around everywhere in pvp... This attrition gameplay doesn't seem very appealing to me idk... It's just me though, you do you friend!
Give it a try! In p3 it does more single target damage in world pvp than arms.
Dueled you multiple times in STV (Mackadin) were you elixir'd up or ret just that bad p3
What’s up Mackadin!! Great duels earlier. I was not elixir’d up. I have a lot of practice dueling so I know exactly what to do and when, to give myself the best opportunity to win duels. Paladin is pretty strong in P3 against warrior. Can’t say anything about other classes though
@Ashandvids not denying your experience. But I also have experience, your spec just seems to have too many counters for ret. 2 kicks, stun, revenge stun. Zerker rage for reps, orc resist hoj. I don't have the dmg to kill you, nor the healing to recover now that my healing is 30% nerfd in pvp for some reason. GGs nonetheless
@@colton6806 no worries man! Lets get together and duel some more. I think with more reps you’ll see that you would edge me out. On our second duel I managed to break combat and use Diamond flask with full healing gear swap. If a warrior gets that off it’s GG as you know.
Thanks for the video mate. I didn't think about the prot/fury build, I was thinking about that second build with impale. We'll see what's better. That Rallying cry lite looks sick, that's going to help our pvp and solo pve for sure
Absolutely man. That buff is going to help us a ton. Any time we can get crit and AP its a win. With Shield Slam scaling with Attack Power as well I'm really excited to see how it plays out.
@@Ashandvids Just tried now at the new ptr and shield slam hits around 950 dmg and 2k if crit only with our buffs and consumes
@@Symbol87 in tier .5. Build is very gear dependent but 2k crit shield slams is pretty dang good if you ask me. Thats half most classes hp.
can this spec be viable for dps?
Great Question, the arms/prot spec would be great for dungeons. You would need to make a few tweaks regarding talents and runes. But you can tank as this spec as long as you play in defensives stance. This wouldnt be a great dps build. Fury and arms will always take the cake there on that.

I'm on Crusader Strike NA. And ill pin this comment for others to comment below on what classes they want to see the duels from first! What would you like to see first in a play by play duel?
Probably shaman, rogues is a priority imo. Then some balanced Druid’s and even ferals etc
@@thespartanslayer1 Will most likely focus on rogue first. Rogue in this build is a cake walk. Its the best matchup to go against except maybe arms warriors. Shamans are really tough on PTR right now and need some serious tuning. So we will hold off on that one
