Very Much This^ Using DLSS balance when playing the game in DirectX 12 mode is indeed the best way to go about it. :D

Unfortunately, the RTX 3050 6GB does not support frame generation, so I can't test this even if I could get a stable 60 fps. One would have to use AMD's FSR to get frame generation with this GPU. ^^

Can't use frame generation when using DirectX 12 mode on this game with the RTX 3050 6GB, as the FPS is too low at around 24-55 FPS. You need a stable 60 FPS for frame generation to work right. :)

haha! You gave me a good chuckle! Yes, the frame pacing in this game is extremely bad. The only thing you can do to help with that is to cap your FPS to a number that your GPU will not dip under. Use the software called Rivatuner Statistics Server to cap the FPS if you have not already done so. Another thing you can try is to change the in-game fps limit to 120 fps.... Some people say that worked for them. :D

Yes, for sure, that would be a good pairing. You should easily get around 200-300 FPS on low settings with that combo, no problem. :D ~Thanks so much!

Yes and no. If you are not playing the newest and most demanding games, then yes, this GPU will do most games 60+, but for those stupidly unoptimized games or extremely demanding tech demo games like Alan Wake 2, that would be a big No, you will be lucky to get 30 fps out of them. It is best to play at 720p for those types of games if you want any chance of having a decent FPS. :)

These days, it's about pumping out as many games they can super fast so the money comes rolling in quickly! The Graphics Settings are at the very start of the video.

The RTX 3050 6GB GPU is just a tad bit faster than the old GTX 1060 6GB GPU, say around 5-10 more FPS, with the added benefit of having DLSS as an option to make games run better. So basically, the FPS will be very similar to what the GTX 1060 can do. So if you check out some TH-cam videos on how the 1060 6GB performs, then you will get a very good idea if this GPU will be good enough performance for you. P.S The RTX 3050 6gb will run esports titles at low settings at around 60-100+ fps

@@deano_bites You couldn't be any more right… hit the nail on the head so to speak. the RTX 3050 6gb simply cannot be beat when it comes to low profile/slim pc builds. All while using only 70w of power without the need for any external power supply. It’s a very good all-around GPU for low budget builds that lets everyone get a chance to play games… and I say that is an awesome thing! :)

I still have the Intel Arc A580… it's just stashed away right now patiently waiting for Intel to release a major driver update that fixes the CPU overhead problem it that currently still has. :)

Hello, Some games can have some stuttering problems with the e-cores enabled, so I just leave them disabled, and it also lowers the power draw of the CPU by a lot, which is my main reason for disabling them. :D

Hello, unfortunately, the burning shores will eat this GPU for breakfast. I've seen the fps dip down to 15 fps in certain places. The performance is not good at all, but it's still playable if you don't mind dipping down below 20 FPS At times, you can always add some DLSS to help with that, but even then, the FPS will still take a nose dive into the 20s. It's really sad to see how unoptimized this game is, considering Horizon Forbidden West was made to work with the PS4. I will try to make a quick video to show you how the performance is. The video should be up sometime today.

Yes, the RTX 3050 6GB is the best low-power/low-profile GPU you can get right now for emulation. It will run all those emulators just fine as long as you keep your expectations at a normal level and are not trying to max everything out, expecting a 60+FPS experience. That's just not going to happen... you would need a super beefy GPU for that. What you can expect is around 30-60 FPS with this GPU in most games, depending on how demanding said game is to run. The fps can dip below 20 fps in certain spots in really demanding games when using the PS3 emulator, but that is normal as the PS3 emulator is extremely demanding. With that being said, you should have a very enjoyable experience using the RTX 3050 6GB for emulation. :)

Hello, On all low settings, this GPU will average around 100-160 fps. It will fluctuate quite a bit, and as far as the GPU latency goes, it will be around 6-10 MS... so you are looking more at 100-120 fps as the baseline for low with this GPU when using 100% resolution scaling at 1080p. ^_^

Update: If you turn off shadows, you can get a decent 130-150 fps most of the time, with some dips into the 120's.

Haha, for sure! So after more testing on the harder-to-run maps, it will still dip to around 110 fps under heavy load. It may not be 144 fps all the time, but it for sure will be a 100 fps experience guaranteed, which is not bad for a card that does not need any external power. XD

Yes, if you use FG, then you can get 60 fps on high settings. The RX 580 is only 1% better than the RTX 3050 6G. So they should run at about the same fps, but you can have higher game textures due to having 8GB of VRAM. :)

You can play on very high settings if you use DLSS in balance mode, but you will still have to turn the shadows down to medium in order to maintain a steady 30+ experience. Video showing DLSS on very high settings will be up sometime tonight or tomorrow morning.

Not only does it run better, it also looks better. Enshrouded developers have a lot of work to do in order to get their game optimized and up to par. As it is right now, it's pretty poor in comparison. Ghost of Tsushima shows what a true optimized game should look like, something we are lacking big time as of late. :)

The Intel ARC A580 is close to the AMD RX6600 in terms of performance, and the RX6600 can run a good bit of games on RPCS3 at 60 fps. That being said, with Intel's drivers still not fully up to par, there will be some games that perform worse on it. If you really want to play most games at 60 fps and you are truly dead set on that, then you are going to need a much beefier GPU, like an AMD 6650XT or higher. But if you want something cheap that can get you close to 60 fps, I would get the AMD RX6600 over the Intel Arc A580. At least as of right now, until they get the drivers working fully. :)

@@3WolvesAnd2Dragons Here in the UK we have been going through really high electricity prices, really high on top of the daily standing charges, which is predicted to continue for the next few years atvleast, so low powered gpu have become quite popular, i myself have been using a RX6400 which is 53 watts, but i think this gpu fir the extra 20 watts woukd be a better gpu, as the rx 6400 can really only manage low settung in games like F76 or Fh5 and the likes.......so i am considering this card to replace it, just to nudge me up to atvleast high settings but to keep that great low power consumption.

@@bob23301 Spot on, lad! You will really enjoy the bump in performance coming from an RX 6400. So much more power without breaking the bank with those bloody high power fees, plus you also get DLSS support for that extra FPS, always a plus. If you have the money to spare, by all means, knock yourself out. You will be very happy with your purchase. ^_^

From my testing, using DLSS Quality will only net you 8 fps more than the native settings, so you will still dip down into the high 20's fps in certain very demanding scenarios while using the ultra graphics settings. If you don't mind dipping below 30 fps during those demanding times, DLSS Quality is the way to go. I should also say that, for the most part, it only dips below 30 fps when you are zoomed all the way in, so if you avoid doing that, you are better off.

If you want to be able to play some of the new GPU-heavy games like Alan Wake 2, then yes, 100%, it would be a nice upgrade from a GTX 1650, that's for sure. and yes, it will work just fine in a PCIe 3.0 slot as long as it's PCIe 3.0 x16. I myself upgraded from a GTX 1060 6GB GPU, and I just love this little RTX 3050 6GB! It's a fantastic, low-powered card. :D

Yep, unfortunately, this game is just a tech demo to show off next-generation graphics. It's extremely demanding for no reason at all other than being used as a marketing tool to help sell high-end GPUs to people. All low-end GPUs struggle to get a stable 30 fps on low settings with this game.

One last question Should I get the ARC A580 8GB or a Radeon RX 6600 8GB? I would really like to play this game. My PSU is 450wat and I'm in a tight budget.

@@Lonewolf-ei5yv 100% Go with the Radeon RX 6600 8GB you will not be disappointed. It uses 100-140 watts of power vs the Intel arc a580 which uses 150-180 watts of power. The Intel ARC drivers are still hit and miss right now. They are getting better for sure, but I would not recommend the GPU right now unless you like to tinker or fuss around trying to get some games to work correctly. Trust me, I have had mine for a while now, and it can be a giant pain in the butt always having to mess around with settings to get the best performance out of it. :)
