Using some fuel injection cleaners is your best bet to stop any rough idling and regain more miles per gallon! Also stop using any ethanol gas would be your best bet to have better performance!

Hello, I bought that screen model the px6 for my 2013 Ford Mustang GT but the air worked for me the first day, the controls and everything but I don't know what touch to configure the controls and now it doesn't work I bought it through Amazon if anyone knows how to fix this I appreciate the help thanks

You can add a simple backup camera for less than $30. Will plug into the yellow RCA jack on the back and tap power off the reverse light. And as for system settings/audio turning off there is a fix for this. I installed a different system in my 11, there is a $14 hack that will not lock out the settings while car is not in park (or with parking brake pulled) It just fools the car into thinking the car is always in park! (google it)

this is exactly why i will not buy this system , not willing to deal with all of these issues ...1 or 2 sure but this list you gave here is absolutely unacceptable and shows obvious oversight/ lack of care from the manufacturer. ty for the video helps alot.

I bought 1 of these screens for my 2013 mustang, and idk if it's just them downgrading their system tremendously or if I didn't spend $1200 to get all the addons to it but my screen looks nothing like this, and even after they made me send them pictures of my Carr to make sure I was getting the right system the car on the display is a no name brand jeep not a mustang. And the layout of all the applications reminds me of a cheap Motorola from 2012 not clean and multi displayed like I see it in every video I watch on TH-cam.

If you go to XDA developers they have members that create custom firmware for these aftermarket Chinese Android systems. It is better written than what originally comes with it and it's free. I had a joying android system in a Jeep and a Russian developer created firmware that made the system faster and it improved the sound quality. He also updated the firmware about every 6 months with new features.

How does it sound compared to the stock shaker unit? I am trying to decide between fixing mine stock stereo and buying this.

You missed using the white plastic clips that came with your OEM stereo that would prevent it from coming off when you pull it.

In addition to the 2" screen plug not being used, was the plug that went into the lower corner of the oem bezel also not used? I can't find a matching plug for it on the new radio nor on the harness. Everything plugged right up except those two. I didn't know the 2" screens plug wasn't used until i saw your video.

Yeah, if i am going to spend a good amount of money for a system, I want everything to work. Nick picking or not I can see your point. Plus, if I am going to modernize my mustang, I want everything to work and I would like it to be automatic. Thats pretty much the whole point of an upgrade.

I've noticed the audio quality on these things is poor and bass is nonexistent. I miss the old stereo and might rip mine out. I do love the android auto but I miss my music quality. Shame because Shaker system is amazing.

Thanks for the video. This helped with my install. This unit requires lots of customization to get it working right, but something I have noticed is the sound quality is poor. My bass is nonexistent and I miss the old sound with the oem stereo. Any way to get the bass working? Bass boost doesnt do anything and the eq settings work but don't result in better audio quality. Set the clock on the android system itself and it will remember. Also, dont just click on new apps, under your phone mount is a button that will open all active apps. Close them and you will see the system speeds back up. You also needed to take the plastic clips off the stock radio and add them to the new one to hold it in.

I’ve had one for a year or so and everything you stated is how I feel… ABSOLUTELY hate that reverse goes to camera mode and I don’t have a camera. I have a premium GT and heated seats don’t work and rear defrost is the same as yours. Well said video.. it’s all the quirks this radio has.

DONT put that hose back on! Install an oil catch can the previous owner put that filter to try to keep nasty gunk and oil out of your engine! However they should’ve installed a catch can not just a filter. Manufacturers only do this for emissions and because people are lazy and don’t like to maintenance their vehicle. But the oil and gunk that goes back into your engine is not good on your engine especially long term.

I have the same radio.. it started to constantly kill my car battery at the exact time the hvac system stopped working ... was gonna have a professional look at it then it started working again randomly after not working for 6.months. it worked again for 3 months and stopped again and now I can't get it working again
