Interestinbgly enough Jonathan Davis and by extension KoЯn have been associated with SH series for me personaly for a long time. I've played SH1 on emulator for the first time about 20 years ago. I was 14 back then, and I found the game so creepy with it's crazy sound design and repressive atmosphere that I had to play KoЯn songs on repeat just to get through the damn game. That game gave me legit nightmares of being stuck on like 10th basement floor of my then school in it's otherwordly shape. 😅

I find it interesting that the version released publicly and the version in the game have different lyrics for the second verse.

So I just got the game literally a few hours ago I just popped it in (no didn’t play it yet) but as soon as the trailer came on and The minute I heard the song in the background i was like “KORN”!?!? that is sooo freaking cool!!! This game looks pretty wild I can’t wait to get into it! But I’d like everyone else’s opinions about this game but please don’t be a spoil anything for me!😂😂

Not the best SH. Honestly nothing SH makes will ever dethrone 2. But this game wasn't as bad as it was made out to be.

I don't want to take away anything from anyone who enjoys this song, but I sometimes come here to remind myself just how badly these guys did not understand the tone of Silent Hill. The further we got from the originals, the less coherent the whole thing got, and now we have a song saying things so explicitly that the game already communicated with actual subtlety. I don't think it's an inherently bad thing to talk about this stuff explicitly in music, by any means, but I don't think Silent Hill is the place for it. This stuff is already shown to us in the game, through the symbolism and the environmental storytelling. This is redundant and, in my opinion, very self-indulgent. It takes away from the subtlety and it hurt the experience for me to have this play at the end. It made me laugh, which I doubt was the intent. And I was someone who enjoyed the ending.

This song did NOT deserve all the hate it got. Korn's lyricism is perfect for a Silent Hill setting.

This song is a good mix of the innocent ones who suffer, the consuming darkness, and the tormented protagonist trying to make sense of it all. May not be traditional Silent Hill at all but it does help put the player in their character's head.

But the music that silent hill has is dope

This is the best SH game since 3 in my opinion.

Despite Vatra Games less than stellar portfolio and that the studio went under, they should all be proud of this game. I consider it one of the best Silent Hill games ever made.

Something weird about this song was how i knew it was korn and the singer Jonathan Davis singing but the weirdest thing was at the time i never knew what korn sounded like i just knew the name of the band ..maybe i had the band in my head and randomly assumed it was them and got it right but it always stuck me how i got it right almost as if i was destined to be a fan of korn O.o ..jk jk but for real i do love korn ..ive seem live and i have all their cds and this theme song made me love the game despite what people say about it !!
