An infrequently seen and yet easily obtainable car which has great tuning potential... this German car is easy to see power gains with and has a great curb appeal! Due to the big brother, the B7 S4, having a V8 in the engine bay, there is plenty of room for modifications with the B7 A4 2.0TFSI. When only a few thousand dollars of modifications are thrown at this car, you can see upwards of 300 ...

Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement Guide | Audi B7 A4 2.0T FSI
Did you ever get the camera to work? I have a license plate camera but I want to install a handle one.
Before I started the valve seals job, I had tried it and the screen was black and white and not glitching. HOWEVER I updated the link in the description to an almost identical camera which I believe will work fine. I plan on creating a video in the future for CarPlay head units where I will validate the newer camera.
@@WeMakeItWork That'll be a great video. I'm not seeing a new link. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?
Sorry! I forgot I planned on adding the link to the camera only after I made sure it worked properly. I still won’t add the link until I verify myself it works as intended, but for you; a.aliexpress.com/_mqV5XZ5 Edit: some say it works and some say it doesn’t. Buy at your own risk until I verify myself it works
Love this.. thinking of doing mine on a 2006 special edition
You're not gonna want one of these. They're ok, but they're expensive to repair and with you messing with it, it's gonna be in the shop a lot.
That’s why you do your own work 😂 then you don’t have to take it to an expensive shop. It’s a German car, that’s why labor is expensive in the west.
There like none of these left in good condition
B7’s are almost 2 decades old at this point, so it’s not uncommon to see them destroyed. If you’re willing to sacrifice some perfection you can find these pretty cheap, then fix them up.
I think that for audi prices i could buy a skoda
While that’s true for people in Europe, Skodas aren’t sold in the US, which is where I live and where the prices of a B7 I mentioned are more common. Thanks for your comment
Bro. Awesome video. You've low key convinced me to keep an eye out for one of these.
Thank you!! I put a lot of effort into this video. I’m trying to create an enthusiast base for the B7 A4 that just doesn’t really exist right now
S4s burn oil like crazy.. unless the previous owner kept up on it.. the engines prolly on its way out early
Oil burning is a known issue, yeah. but something is causing that. If you have some tools and some dedication you can rebuild the engine yourself. Typically the 2.0t burning oil is from valve seals or piston rings.
@@WeMakeItWork bro nobody wants to buy a car for 5 grand and then have to take the engine completely apart. That aint gonna be easy or cheap. Not everyone has a hoist or engine crane LOL
The ones for 5 grand don’t need work. The B7’s for $400-4000 sure as hell do though. It’s about what you want to spend and how hard you look. Thanks for the comment Editing to say I have neither an engine hoist nor a crane.
Great video with good information! You might want to try and fix the weird split screen thing going on, though.
I did that intentionally because if not it was just a super close up of my nose or nothing happening in the background lol Thanks!
@@WeMakeItWork My bad, man. It just didn't look like what most shorts TH-camrs do, and it seemed like their style was the one you were going for. I hope you do well, though, since you seem like you know what you're talking about.
@@CheeseManMedia. Thank you! Very much appreciated!
shhhhhh keep the prices downn
While that’s a good thought, I already have my own so I consider this trying to revive a platform 😂 B7 is hated on compared to other A4s
I'm from the UK and I couldn't agree more always loved the B7 A4 Quattro S-Line special edition
Do you think these turn signals are too bright? Ive seen pictures where its fine and where it looks weird compared to the oem headlights. I cant decide if im gonna pull the trigger on these since im looking for clears but these are the only ones that transition from white to amber when using signals
I think they’re overly bright, yes. I also think that’s a good thing because I’ve almost been run off the road a few times on the highway because a large pickup didn’t see my car. I figure the white LEDs are a good accident deterrent. If you want dimmer, they sell a smoked version
did the new mirror come with the plastic back and where did you find it?
Not sure what you mean by “plastic back”. It was the glass with a plastic back yes but I only swapped the mirror piece, not the whole painted mirror housing. The link is in the description!
It looks pretty much identical to OEM, see 0:47 in the video
Hell yea gang this is good for the audi community. Thank you!....b7 gang in this bih
When the crash out homie has to work on the foreign 😂😂
Glad I can help 😂 this comment made me laugh
Working an these cars is a nightmare, as I fix something something else need to be fixed.I'm 👍 😮
Agreed. They can be a real pain in the ass. This video is part 1 of multiple so if you have to do this I’d wait until I put out the other videos
Did you do the bank1 sensor?
If you mean the O2 sensor then no I have not. It’s pretty straightforward though. I have a CTS Turbo Testpipe instead of a catalytic converter so my O2 sensor has moved a few inches
Did the car not run before you changed that part?
The car was idling poorly. The RPMs were dropping to 500 before kicking back up to 1300. I changed the cat for performance gains, which is unrelated to the Crankshaft position sensor or the idling issues
Not bad let me know what your using for pulling valves I am about to rebuild head I got a new block and a bunch of go fast parts
Will do. Thank you for your comment. My plan is to document everything as I do it. The end goal is to create a multi part series that makes it easy for literally anybody to do a job this in depth.
I think spiders love audi so much under my car 🚗 🙃 i just let them live..
Lmao 😂 I think you’d be right. They love the German engineering 🤣
Thank you!
I’m glad I could help! Working on an Audi can be confusing.
What spoiler is that, and where can I purchase it?
It’s a SpoilerKing spoiler off Amazon! a.co/d/ilCO055
What spoiler is that? And when can I purchase it

Hey what wire did you tap into for the signal wire behind the head unit?
I will make a video on aftermarket head unit installation later this week, ideally. I can’t remember off the top of my head. Subscribe so you don’t miss the video, it will probably be two parts because for some reason my rear speakers don’t work with my head unit, and I need to figure out why.
Can’t wait for more videos I’m really undecided with what exhaust I should get what do you think of it after living with it for a bit
It’s a great exhaust sound wise, the cold start is loud since I’m running a catless downpipe, but it’s not insanely loud once warm. It is 2.0 Audi so no matter what exhaust you have it will still sound like a fart cannon 😂 The next video I make will be about taking off the head of the engine, and how to do a timing belt job. I know it seems like a lot but I’m gonna go step-by-step
Thank you, i agree with the statement about the audi engineers. Every time i work on mine i end up making some kind of comment like "why would they put that there?", "why would they design it like that!?", "f***ing stupid f*** piece of s***!". I love the car though.
SOUND CLIPS: th-cam.com/video/iG_4TJIeO7E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YhnMZSh7Yn6M3yPe
Cool design but get it lowered
Coilovers is on the list! Only got so much time on my hands and I need to fix the valve seats before I put any more money into the aesthetics.
The reason I'm burning so much oil is because of my valve seats. Ignore it lol
wd40 on the hangers reallllly helps too!
can we get a sound clip ?
Right now my B7 isn’t starting and I’m trying to figure out why. It just randomly stopped cranking one day and I think it’s the clutch sensor. Once I get it fixed I’ll post a video with some fly by’s, idle revving, cold start, etc.
Hey yousefalqaisi7636, I threw together a video tonight. Take a look! th-cam.com/video/iG_4TJIeO7E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3pmM-qhyPv-MAjoF
Thanks for finding those. I like that they a white unless using the turning signals.
Same! They have a smoked variant which is probably less bright. The clears I installed light up the ground next to the car at night time. Super bright!
Good job installing it, everything brakes when you try to screw i together and it dont realy fit on the car
Lmfao they certainly didn’t make it easy. It’s definitely a pain in the ass, but once it’s done it looks fantastic. Not looking forward to having to take it off if I ever have to do anything around my turbo manifold
what head unit do you plan on putting in?
a.aliexpress.com/_mrOTPSs I’ve been buying electronics off of AliExpress since it all comes from China anyways. I got this one because I like the volume knobs vs buttons and it’s compatible with the camera.
@@WeMakeItWork LMAO Well, if you decide to make a video on the install of the headunit, i'd love to see the quality of the backup camera on it!
Gotcha. I’ll plan on making a part 2 once I get it working. I got it already but it won’t turn on. My stock radio wasn’t powering on either, so I’m thinking it’s a wiring issue (of course 😑). Once I diagnose it and fix it I’ll drop the link here
great content mate, saw your post on audizine
Much appreciated man! Thanks a bunch, I’ve put a lot of work into the car and hope to create more B7 interest so there’s more builds.
you did the honeycomb grill by yourself?
Sure did. It was a lengthy process but 100% worth it. It looks so good without a horizontal license plate space on it. To do it, I took a C6 A6 aftermarket Honeycomb grille off of eBay, cut the mesh out of that, cut the mesh out of my S-Line grille, spray painted the border gloss black, and then cut the honeycombs to fit in the S-Line border and epoxy’d it in. Very lengthy process, cost me about $140-150 for the grille, epoxy, and the plastic saw I used to cut with.
This tutorial should also work for different cars, with minor changes (such as the camera model itself, colors on wiring harnesses, etc). For those of you confused about what the wires do, start at 12:47 for an in-depth explanation.

For B7: www.fcpeuro.com/products/audi-vw-engine-crankshaft-position-sensor-06a906433l
In the UK you can pick one up online for under £20! Thanks to the channel for the vid BTW. Mines just started throwing a hissy fit and the code says it's the sensor. Not looking too bad a job by B7 standards!
