Hi Ugo, hope I am not too late to this clip. How long did SEF/AIMA take to issue the Approval Letter (from time of submission in April) so you could apply for a D6 visa back in Abuja?
It took about 12 days or less if I can remember, It was with SEF then. A lot of processes have changed, you might want to call AIMA to find out if the process is still the same.
Please, can you recommend the legit site to apply for Portugal work visa. I will be grateful

What I'm interested in knowing is how many of them actually speak Portuguese better yet how many of these people have jobs
If they don't have jobs how do you think they pay their bills monthly? Some of them speak Portuguese fluently, some can communicate with the basics and others don't.

If you're on a student visa you can get a good job not just a menial job. For menial jobs, sometimes language can be a barrier and sometimes you can be lucky to get one where language is not a requirement. You just have to keep searching for the one that suits you.

In Portugal, you can work full-time & study at the same time. You can earn the full minimum wage and also higher depending on your skills & profession.

My D1 portugal visa application was submitted in New Delhi ( india) in Portugal embassy on January 2023 and till now I am waiting for my visa and passport. Embassy still saying that my status in under process any idea how long I will be able to take my passport back
Can I work with a portugal Business visa?
You need a work permit to be able to work in Portugal.
Ok. Can I come to Portugal with a business visa but without work contract save the work contract of the organization where I am here? Can I also use my business visa to get a work permit?

You can check on Linkedin, indeed, Glassdoor. There are other websites you can check for jobs. Just narrow it down to your skills, location and qualifications.

As you know Portuguese is their primary language, to be able to practice here as a doctor kindly research the requirements required from a doctor coming from another country.

Hello ma please which city will you recommend for somebody that is coming to Portugal on a job seeker visa
Most jobs are in Lisbon, but getting an apartment in Lisbon is expensive you can look for an apartment that is not too far from there. As long as there are buses, trains, and other means of transportation you should be fine. If you're looking at working remotely, you can live anywhere. I hope this helps.

I learned the process has changed now. I got a call not up to 5 days to pick up my passport.
Oh i see. Madam is it necessary doing another criminal record if the one used at Sef was done 3 months ago? Did the embassy take the new criminal record you made?
Yes, I made another criminal record and submitted it during my visa application because the one I made earlier had expired after 3 months. I didn't want to take chances so I went along with a new one, which they accepted.

Portugal is a good place. Jobs are not so easy to come by for English speakers & also for the Portuguese people.
