I so relate to your point about the influence we get from social media that we lose touch with our inner preferences a little bit. I’ve felt so lost with my personal style lately because it feels we are jumping from one micro trend to another constantly and not really given enough time to digest it and assess if it’s for us or not l. Putting a pause on buying new things and instead observing what kind of clothes do I gravitate towards from my closet has helped me a lot in this regard P.S Jane Eyre is also my favorite book ever ❤

I have my PhD in a STEM field and have been looking into some non-academic job paths. I recently stumbled across patent associates (usually have a STEM PhD background) and curious how common it is.

Love this video Katy! Just a suggestion on the therapy goal - most companies have free therapy sessions through EAP (Employee Assistance program) since Covid hit to help with mental health. This is through your health insurance - might help with the cost issue you mentioned. That’s what I use since it is expensive to go.

I like this video! It’s so nice to see someone setting realistic personal and professional goals. Progress is slow and steady for most things in life. Sometimes it seems like people just get lucky and become successful, but I like seeing the work behind it. It’s motivational.

I love watching your vlogs. I honestly do not watch TH-cam anymore unless it’s your videos. Gatsby reminds me so much of my cat Ruby. She has his same personality and although she’s no longer with me, I find myself at peace whenever Gatsby is mentioned or present in your videos
