I didn’t realize how involved it is to properly install this very fine safety. I dislike & don’t trust trigger safeties.

If a person wanted to put innereds in a box to make a nice presentation case for a Smith and Wesson 3rd model New Frontier, is there a place where I could find that information? I already have the case.

Nice video and a nice gentleman. I'm going to have to watch more of the ACGG videos as this one was pretty short on technical details. But, I did learn you use a spray adhesive to glue the fabric ("baize"?) to the wooden compartment seperators.

    • @PhoenixT1953

generally no, you would only want to fire appropriate black powder loads

@@jeffreyburney6161 they were made before ww1 like that because we did not have the methods of making modern fluid steel barrels, steel was twisted and forged welded thus giving it that pattern, they are weaker than modern barrels hence why black powder loads, they also have issues of rust sometimes getting between the forge welds and further weakening them

Most excellent video. Thanks so much for posting this. Watching this gave me a good idea why one blank is cost quadruple what others do and also why the grain is important regardless of what grade blank you want. Soon I’ll be cutting a tree to pull a better blank than I would have before.

Love the video! Fine work from all. Any chance you've got more video of the barrel machining? For most it's like watching paint dry, but for me it's more like watching a time lapse of an ant colony eating the flesh off a predator skull leaving something spectacular in the end.

Thank you for posting this video, who would have guessed gunstock wood and wine grapes could be similar. I.e., Royal Walnut grown in one area will be different than Royal Walnut grown a different area. Cabernet sauvignon grapes grown in France will produce a different wine than Cabernet sauvignon grapes grown in California even though they are the same variety. Interesting
