My first real ride with my 2020 CB650R. The bike is still in it's break in period, that's why I never reved past 6000 RPM. Instagram: nox.rides
Spectacular views and I think you're riding was spot on my friend don't let anyone bring you down with negative comments. I have to wait for the 2025 model of the cb650r here in Canada we didn't get the new 2024 with the e-clutch. The E clutch gives you the best of both worlds if you want to go spirited riding and you don't want to have to worry about the clutch you turn it on and you've got a quick shifter up and an auto blipper downshifter. Enjoy.

I drove this pass with heavy rain, fog and snow in june. Have to go back with this type of weather. It is beautiful.
What do you think of the quickshifter? It seems that it's not too smooth from the video. I found the 890 GP demo I rode not that smooth either.. Does it improve over time? I read that it's supposed to get smoother after re-calibration.

Hi! How do you find the 890 engine compared to the cb 650 r? Do you miss the smooth 4cyl with 12000 rpm?
Hi! I don't really miss the 4 cylinder. Mainly because even with only 650cc on the CB, fully using the rev band got you into speeds beyond legal limits all the time. And to be honest, the CB was most fun when around 9-11k rpm. The 890 on the other hand is fun everywhere from 5k up and got a lot of torque everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I really liked the 650 engine, but with my prefered riding style, especially on small and twisty roads, a 2 cylinder fits a lot better.
@@noxrides I also drive on tight and slow mountain roads, I had a Mt09, and now a 890smt. Sometimes I need that feeling you get when WOT on corner exit searching for power, for many years I had bikes with so much torque that you just don't need to go WOT at all!

@@noxrides no! Definetely not!! No power under 8000rpm !! When you up to 8000rpm the next Curve comes!!🤭 For streets with many Curves you need a bike who go up From 3.000rpm to 8.000rpm who had the most Power From 3.000rpm or 4000rpm!
Sure, if you want the most power for those roads, you would probably be better of with a 2 cylinder bike. But to be honest, it's not a race. I had a lot of fun regardless 😜

Hey, I come late, but have you locked the rotation of your calimoto app ? I think the UI is hard to use on landscape mode so I'd like to not lock it, but i wonder if it can switch to portrait due to lean angle in this position
Hey, sorry for the very late answer. Yes, I have the same issue. The landscape UI was fine a few years ago and then they reworked it to be as shitty as it is today. Didn't find a better solution to this problem then to completely lock it. One thing that helps me come around the shitty UI is to just do all my planning on the PC and then just use the UI once to start the planned route.

Ist der originale Auspuff. Klingt auch so schön ziemlich gut.
bist du happy mit den spiegeln? Stören die evtl. sogar, weil sie so nah an den Fingern sind?
Ja, bin sehr zufrieden. Wenn man sie richtig einstellt, machen sie keine Probleme an den Fingern. Finde das ist eine gute Alternative zu nach unten zeigenden Highsidern. Sind beim normalen Fahren nicht im Sichtfeld, aber trotzdem leicht zu sehen, wenn man sie mal braucht.

Thanks! I'm not from Switzerland, so I can't tell you if there's some market place where you would find bikes to rent. But I'm pretty sure you can rent bikes from local dealers somewhere. Probably depends on where in Switzerland you want to go :)

Great vid BUT I can not force myself to contiune watching how badly you are hurting your motrcycle. Each and every single downshift is like kicking it straight in balls... I'm literally feeling the pain tha your motorcycle feels at each downshift... Learn rev-matching before you destroy gearbox ;-)
Don't worry, I learned rev matching already. Have a look at the last CB video I uploaded in March last year and tell me if that's more to your liking :D
CB650R has a slippery clutch so it's not a problem
