    Hi does this exercise sequence actually complete a stress cycle as per the title i.e. release any/some accumulated stress ? Or is it just a Pilates general routine ?

      Hi Fleur, stress in the body is so unique to each person and each of us has unique ways to relieve stress. Movement, in general, helps eliminate stress and everyone chooses different forms of movement to help with that, there's tons of information out there but you can also read more here: www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/exercising-to-relax. This sequence specifically focuses on releasing accumulated stress by targeting the three most common areas of accumulated tension in the body; shoulders, low back, and hips. Each exercise with the foam roller applies gentle compression to those areas of stuck, or accumulated stress, to gently massage and release tight, tense muscle and dehydrated connective tissue. Along with the gentle manual release, this sequence highlights breathing techniques and builds body awareness to help you learn more about how your body moves! Of course, whether or not one is able to relax, clear the mind, and listen to the body and depends on each person and the day. Best of luck with your continued movement journey. Thanks for watching!

And do you need a special, more padded perhaps, mat to do this particular Pilates routine (bearing in mind it's to release the accumulated stress stored in the body) ? Much appreciated!
