A rough edit of a fun weekend chasing black marlin on the Gold Coast. Finished up with 25 released for the 3 days. 4 Friday, 9 Saturday (in some very ordinary conditions) and an epic 12 on Sunday. Big thanks to Andy Kelly and Taylor Bills for winding them in.

Easter blue marlin Teaser bites

Switching blue marlin off teasers on to a short run lure on the Gold Coast over Easter long weekend. A great switching technique running 2 Flippy Floppy teasers, a short run lure and a long lure for the lazy/ shy fish.

I guess I didn't realize what kind of video this was going to be, it's just a "time waster". I was thinking you'd at least catch it, then release it. and I should have known when the music was of the fast type, that this would be a waste of our time to watch.

the lad in the bintang shirt needs to hit pause on 6:33 - the frame speaks for itself (high sticking with palm on spool?!?!).. Also looks extremely uncomfortable without a gimbal. Beautiful weather, but 20 miles is a damn long way in a 16ft cc >.>. Nice video, thumbs up.

Not wrong mate about the conditions. Our jigging spot is 39km offshore. Trust me, its a long way in when conditions aren't like this

Hi mate. Thank-you. That was a 24kg jig stick that snapped. Caught king to 25kg on the same rod. Don't want to know how big the thing that snapped it was.
