Un-scripted. Sorry for the poor commentary but you get the point. Can’t edit the video. Yes I know there is no carb on the truck. First one to comment on that is dbag of the year. Hope this helps someone.

Good video
The spring isn’t needed for any tension purposes?
I think you did a great video here. I appreciate the details. My only "criticism", which has nothing to do with how awesome this information is, is during your explanations of every step you take, you do this verbal tick- "uhhhh.. ummm.... uhhhh eh uhhhh and uhhh." I know its a petty thing to mention and again, im not attacking you or your character.. but in doing that, you cast doubt on what you are talking about and, if you are to make more videos in the future, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, it's good to know how to improve. Again, thank you for your time and knowledge. It is MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
After my bull in china hutch mother in law sprung our door hinge this fix worked immediately. Thanks so much!
Thank you for showing the connection that’s what I always struggle with wrenching
BWAHAHAHA now that's funny and it works!! Genius
Yeah I guess it has to be a difficult one to replace not like some of the simple ones that TH-cam has videos on, where it's all out in the open, so oh yeah you gotta love Dodge and Dodge engineers
Down stream
I can’t find the plug at the why they keep giving me a sensor that’s too big to fit in the hole and I seen u said u had the wrong one too witch one is that sensor at the y
Nope ..all wrong I did mine in 30mins And I have big hands I didn't unbolt anything An I got the 6.2..v8...denali Just get in there..suck it up
Thank you for the video, I used a torch to heat it up cherry red and I was able to remove the sensor. The best tip was inside the cab getting the wire disconnected.
Thank you. The lift up tab bit is crucial. On my '96 5.9, I can't see the connector at all, its on top of the transmission completely. I had to do it blind.
Thank so much forwarding to a mechanic
What's the sensor right by it bud
No it's not I just did mines
Thanks for the video... Nothing can ever just be simple. Lol.
Thanks for the tip. Saved me a lot of headache.
The tps dose have an adjustment. Have to do it with live data, lightly snug screws, twist sensor untill you see the tps signal advance 4%, tighten screws, this remove slack between tps and shaft of the butterfly valve. If the truck is old like mine the butterfly adjustment screw may be worn, and have butterfly closed deep into the throttle body leaving unwanted slack between the tps and butterfly shaft, this will cause the idle air valve to close to fast on acceleration creating a stalling issue, "truck idles fine untill you touch the throttle pedal" either get another throttle body or adjust the screw on the throttle body. It has a cap on it, remove cap and advance 1/4 turn untill truck stops dying, then a little as you can uttill you barely noticed the stall, then readjust the tps.
The long hose never came with a clamp,
fine job, thank you for taking the time to share this.
Bro get the right tools for the right job don’t use electrical tape to hold tools together
You can buy a set of O2 sensors sockets for about $27.00; There are two short ones in the case, You would want the short one with the shortest end for the 3/8" socket. I just done this on a friends truck with absolutely no problems at all.
Awesome video….anyone watching watch to the end…. Very helpful thank you
The screen is down inside the hole and doesn't just fall out. You have to reach down inside the hole and stab it and pull it out. That so called noise shield is what the major problem is getting to the sensor. And yes, that special socket does help alot.
Dude I just got a migraine with all that unnecessary talking why not just get to the point. All that talking just to tell us how you destroy the sensor
I have a 1997 dodge and it’s hissing and loss of power and it doesn’t want to shift.
Just a quick guess but it sounds like a vacuum leak tell me more about it not shifting
The tip at the end of the video about the shift knob was huge! I am absolutely dreading getting under my truck to replace both O2 sensors, mainly because of the mystery location of that front plug...this is a game changer!
Best video I found yet
I cut the wires, used a breaker bar, and a deep well socket.
yes the filter!! I keep asking
Thank you. That will help.
Replaced air intake valve and truck is sputtering worse now really bad slow idle a lot of the time a lot more as well as no pick up and go sluggish a whole lot someone help please what's the deal
Best video on this on the damn internet
I ordered a oxygen sensor from A1autoparts for my dodge ram and on receiving my package i open it up and it said Made In China i was like what the F. I installed it anyways and China part didnt fix my problem. So now i have to reorder a Made in the USA oxygen sensor for $ 111. 00 bucks.
My dodge 5.9 Boggs down at cold start. Sucks a lot of air in the throttle body. The sucking gets really loud. Does it for about 3 to 4 min then it’s fine after that.
Did one yesterday. Only took 30 minutes.
Yeah I couldn't see shit. Lol. But ty anyway
I got a 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9L v8 helps out a lot thanks
for more room up front take the two bolts off of the trans mount at the rear of trans. Jack up the trans until it hits the trans tunnel. This gives you about an extra 2 inches of clearance by the firewall. I did it this way and didnt have to disconnect anything else to remove the sensor.
THANK YOU!!!
Appreciate your efforts to document the build. Very inspiring. Gives me a few ideas as well. Thanks. Good luck.
Well done gm has some degreed retards - that oil pressure sensor could be in an easier location
Haven't done this project yet but the tip about going through the top for the connector is absolute gold. If I do decide to do this myself, consider this a huge "thank you" in advance.
Did you have a screen under the oil sensor. I just replaced mine on my 08 escalade 6.2l and went down with a pick like 4-5" And couldn't feel a screen. Did these models not have one? Thanks
I inquired at the dealer parts counter about the sensor and screen and they looked up my 2009 GMC Sierra Denali 6.2L Flex Fuel engine and said it does not have the screen/filter. So my guess is yours doesn't either. There is another video on You Tube showing the 6.2L engine that mentions that the 5.3L with active fuel management has the screen, but that 6.2L didn't either.
I got a 07 escalade.. I didn’t feel one either
Only 09 and up have filter
OMG OMG OMG you get the award for best upstream o2 sensor video!!! I'm so glad I watched till the end so I could see the part about going in through the transfer case shifter. I been scratching my head trying to figure out how to get that connector apart. Your the only video out of the 4 I watched who showed that trick. You saved me a lot of headache and neck ache pain, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Ohhhh just an FYI, they fixed that pesky problem of being able to go in through the shifter to get that electrical plug in a 2001. Can't access it anymore. CRAP CRAP CRAP
I didnt have to pull off my airbox to reach either. Took me 6 minutes to replace both parts.
Mine doesn't shift past into 3rd or past 3rd, no matter how much you press the gas?
Luis Vera torque converter is bad
Its not the torque convertor it is either low transmission fluid filter or most likely its the transducer and or the governor pressure solenoid. I've been where your at.
Oh it could also be overdrive plug if its one of those change all three they can be expensive but I found all three for bout 150 on ebay
my 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 Magnum had a rubber hose about one-and-a-half in behind the idle air control module stretching from one side horizontally thus preventing you from getting almost any size Ratchet & T20 bet in to remove T25 bolt on the left side of idle air control module us making my 10-minute job a two-hour job coming up with random configurations I'm trying to get around this Holes without ripping it off which I thought about multiple times. Eventually on hard angles with a swivel piece I got it off and stripped the one left bolt a little bit retightening the left bolt was almost impossible I just got it finger tight to the point where I couldn't turn it anymore and then tighten the crap out of the right Bolt all seems well now
We're gonna ah an ah then ah and do ah.......ah
Wilbert Burnsworth should be ahhh drinking game lol
Those bolts that hold the TPS and AIC Valve on, are they Phillips head or a Star-pattern bolt? Thanks
Torque t20 bit.
Mine was a t25 bit driver
