So who actually benefited from this Euro 4K fine as it was not the woman that informed DPA of the infraction nor the company that paid it. OK, So what does the DPA do with the money and how did they calculate this infringement is worth a 4K penalty? Why are the main solutions against the people either a money fine, prison or both? To me, The DPA seems like ambulance chasing lawyers just waiting for someone to "tell on their company" and they will save the day and make big money in the process yet all the woman got was her information!! The system is broken people as the rich don't care about fines and they are rarely ever in one of the regular -1 star jails if ever!!

Tracking for what reason, why is it even a thing to discuss about ? What makes the average user not to be bothered about being watched 24/7 ? Social media made us dumber than we already were. When decided humanity to accept to be tracked and spied on by corporations and others, ...and why we have no problem with it ? They should have named it "lbtq" not "uetq" for more chance of all inclusive enabling. A few characters on a webpage will protect you, right? As if a sign on you door saying "do not enter" prevents a robber to break in. We have enough experience how this companies work and change policies after some time (without noticing anyone, or user consent for that matter). What about the highly secure protection from web crawlers by "robots.txt" ? Does it help much ? Cookies to "enhance" browsing experience - the laughing stock of the millennium. Or mandatory data collection to enhance a product, huh
