Hey, very late for the party here, but I just want to make some comments on your review. I read this book for my English class a year ago, and after we read, analysed and reviewed the whole thing we watched the movie. I agree on some points you make, and strongly disagree on others, just wanted to share my thoughts here: To start off, I think you are absolutely correct in saying that Stenberg‘s acting is very on point and I love her to god, but I do think they miscasted her, as Starr clearly is a medium skinned black girl, and they clearly made the decision to cast her lighter, which I do not appreciate. As said, no hate to Stenberg, her acting is so good that I do understand the decision, but I do not forgive it completely. Additionally, I‘d like to add that I really hated the confrontation scene in the movie. They missed the mark completely, as instead of Khalil stepping out of the car, having his back turned to the police officer as he shoots him, they have him reach for his hairbrush, which gives the „panic“-argument of the police officer a lot more credibility. And I just really fucking hate that, excuse the language. It completely eradicates the blatant racism, or at least makes it less obvious than in the book. For the rest of your review, I agree with your points made, I absolutely love the music as well, it feels alive and very dramatic. So, overall, I think the movie is grand, except for the points mentioned above. I hope you appreciate my thoughts on the subject, and hope you have a lovely day

I absolutely adore the book series and the movie. I’ve read Wonder, Auggie & Me and White Bird, which is the final chapter of the Wonder book series. A movie based on White Bird has been made, but has yet to be released. I’m pretty much obsessed with the whole Wonder phenomenon. Jacob Tremblay is so adorable and amazing as Auggie! I love the friendship between Auggie and Jack!

Spoilers comment - I agree with a lot of things in your review. It was very dark. I did NOT like the ending at all. I actually sympathized with Owen and his character development over the course of the story was inspiring. My favorite books was "Family Upstairs" And Family Remains." I also enjoyed "None of This is True."

While spending a very unexpected week in St. Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, I accidentally came across this delightful film "on demand", and watched it twice a day. As compared to that intolerable "Being The Ricardo's" or the confusing "Elvis", this heartwarming movie literally made me both happy and feel well sooner. Apparently, there's an earlier version starring Angela Landsbery (sp?), which I would also love to see. Thanks again for your excellent, sweet review... 😘👍

I love the classic as i was a kid in the 70's myself when i watched the classic and it captured the charm of it as well.
