The good ol' game of cat and mouse. It can be very beneficial to let a rider lead and have you chase them. (Also great practice for the lead rider to step up their pace so you don't catch them.) Complete lap from Vlog 1, where the conditions were quite wet and muddy. I don't suggest riding in this all the time, but sometimes you just don"t have a choice! this can teach you a lot of throttle and brake control, as well as line choice.

I use to race FTR back in the early 2000s and was lucky enough to race the Big Buck GNCC in 2005, B class. I thought I was fast😂. Now I know why you were the champ for 7 years. Awesome riding buddy.

gopro mounted on the plastics? never woulda thought of that. if that's what's going on here lol. looks good too. been working on a helmet mount I like. had to mod a street bike chin mount havnt got to try it yet.
Yes it’s mounted on the hood. The AMA made a competition rule deeming a camera on the helmet “unsafe” so had to come up with an alternative. The chest mount fits weird with all the other protective gear I wear so, on the quad seemed like the next best option

This track was so hard,all there was were like deep Whoops every! Goes to show how much time and exercising you do to have the stamina and energy to go at a high speed for 2 hours

I have a question . I have a IMS oversized gas tank on my son's 2020 YFZ. Were running out of fuel and we have 3/4 gal of fuel left. Is that all that the fuel pump will pick up when your racing ?
It should pick up about all but the last quart but I’ve had them suck up even less
Question what the first mod I should do to my yfz
Take off the lights for less weight
Just depends on how much money you can spend. There’s some cheaper stuff that helps or even free stuff that makes a big difference
I really hope you continue with the GoPro footage. It gives people who aren’t familiar with GNCC the opportunity to see what the racing is like and maybe winning over new fans.

Haha Florida is it’s own animal for sure. It’s “easy” in a sense of obstacles, but it’s absolutely the most physically demanding race we do all season. And thank you👍🏼

It’s one of the most competitive seasons I’ve been a part of for sure! Everyone is a similar speed and fitness. Comes down to the wire every weekend

Thumb, but I used to run a twist 11 years ago, I won my xc2 championship and 2 overall wins on a twist.
I really appreciate you posting GoPro footage walker. If you posted the whole race I could sit and watch it like it was a marvel comics movie. Wish ama wouldn’t of made the rule that you can’t wear them on your helmets. Hope you wear it more and are able to get some good footage at these remaining races this year. Also good luck at big buck.
It’s because we’re so far back that anyone with some pull can’t see us. Most the guys walking around checking tethers have no idea they aren’t allowed. A friend of mine races 4x4A and at big buck he was told to take his off. Meanwhile I saw 2-3ppl with them on top of their helmets a row or 2 In front of me. I guarantee they’d make walker take his off.

We start with our hands on our helmets so it adds a really unique change to the start procedure. Pretty smart really, nobody can start early if you can’t touch the start button

It gets interesting sometimes with the difference in closing speeds coming up on riders but just an added challenge. Definitely whooped out!
