I return to my home and my routine. Everything seems to be in place, except for the weather. It’s unusual to experience hot, rainy days in winter. Between conversations in the kitchen and the silence of my studio, I warm my body, my kilns, and feel the sun on my face. The heat-sometimes gentle and welcoming, sometimes intense and implacable-always reminds us of the delicate balance we must maintain for life. Without attention, its transformative power can bring about revolutions. The beginning and the end. And so, life renews, reveals itself, and challenges us to find harmony in our way.
