I mean of you're gonna pull a hub. You need to remove the rotor first. All I seen was possibly pushing the axle in
It's not for pulling the hub. The title is misleading. The tool is for pushing on the driveshaft and separating the spline from the hub.
Weird if they we’re trying to loosen the cv the upper ball joint or lower has to be removed in most cases
If i told you that the same type of locking wheen lug . It would take me 15 seconds to remove it without drilling or welding or any damage without the locking key.

Unfortunately didn’t work on my locking lug/bolt. Even bought a new locking bolt key from BMW dealers,broke while trying to remove the locking bolts.Broke 3 of the inserts,work was getting done by a garage. Got charged labour and 3 broken keys/inserts. Trying to see other ways of removing it my self.
Hi Arif, sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately, it's difficult for us to comment without having been there as there's no way for us to know if the kit was being used at the garage correctly. Usually when the inserts break it would indicate that use of excessive force is being applied, but it's difficult for us to say on this occasion We wish you the best of luck in finding a resolution.

Note: This doesn't remove lug nuts, it remove lug bolts. Most American, Japanese, and Korean manufacturers use lug nuts (where the wheel has studs that nuts fit onto), while European manufacturers often use lug bolts (where the "nut" you're removing is actually the bolt/stud).

Sorry to hear that J-G! Technicians can be rather heavy handed with tightening lug nuts unfortunately. We hope they're able to sort this out for you, if not perhaps they'll look at investing in our kit to get you unstuck!
Don't you have to replace the stud after drilling if it is a lug nut (not lug bolt)
Hi Julius, yes you're correct, the lug will need to be replaced after drilling - this kit is for when there is no other option than to sacrifice the lug when the removal key has been lost
A laser line should be reflected on the surface for better accuracy
Thanks for your comment. The unit adds up smaller angles when in tight spaces with limited access and includes an alarm, digital display and colour changing LEDs, so in this case, a laser line would be of no benefit.

Hi Kuma San, just to advise you this product has since been discontinued from our range, but we can confirm that the manufacturers recommend cleaning with denatured alcohol or a common household cleaner.

hellsbaby127 Hi, thanks for your query. To use this kit with stainless steel, you would need the Stainless Steel Brake Pipe Upgrade Kit (02727500) which includes a hydraulic ram power unit for stainless steel pipe. Hope this clears up any confusion.

Fuzz944 - Removal of driveshaft/Cv joint required?? In answer to your recent question - Yes, remove this in one piece together with the hub assembly. The only real tricky thing is to take care of the ABS speed sensor wire which sits in a small gap and can be easily damaged if not careful.

Thank you for purchasing this Sykes-Pickavant tool. We hope we can help you get the best out of it. There are 2 factors to consider that give this effect. 1) Quality of aftermarket bush - we have found some to be slightly oversized so fitting them will always be tricky 2) More likely the case is the actual OE trailing arm. Whilst they are all slightly offset - we have found a number to be slightly oval; and this, if the case will show in the tendency to pull the bush sideways more than is normal; some are worse and this is more pronounced. To compensate for this we recommend a method of aligning the bush & then pulling it in a little building up the load, check & realign if needed, then apply more load. We have found using a soft hammer to line up the assembly the best way - as per our video... Please watch so the method we recommend is clearer. Hope this helps.

Hi, There would be no problem at all having a TruCheck mounted onto a wall - the important thing is that it is securely mounted so it can’t move & that it is vertical or horizontal only. The reason we have our units mounted into a vice clamp is so that we can go to customer sites & demonstrate the tool - as the UK’s leading torque wrench supplier we often compare & test in service wrenches - which often surprises users who think their own wrenches are accurate & it is very often not the case.
Rather than vice mounting would it be suitable for wall mounting? Also, any idea of UK price?
As a specialist tool company working with vehicle manufacturers, we cannot do anything other than promote this vehicle safety requirement.
Hi Eddie, The latest EU TPMS regulation we refer to is EU 27 (UNECE R66). Regarding manufacturer involvement we know from working with them on previous directives, that they have been given clear mandates that TPMS systems must not be able to be de-activated (this came into effect in mid 2000’s) & must now always be fully operative, as they are considered critical safety systems.
I have read a number of posts on blogs (even Peugeot official blogs) about getting it switched off at various dealers - both Peugeot and private with planet etc.

Hi Eddie, If your question relates to turning off TPMS monitoring systems - then no this function is not now allowed under EU law. The very first TPMS equipped cars such as Renault Laguna 2 in 2001 were set so that a main dealer could turn the system on or off but since mid 2000's under EU law, these safety systems cannot now be de-activated; It is now illegal to do so and no manufacturer is allowed to build in the option for this.
