I never realized I was abused and violated until I explained these things to my boyfriend and he suggested I go to thereapy because I would lash out at him when he called my mother abusive. I finally decided to go, because we couldn’t ever talk about this without me being angry and a therapist confirmed this as abuse. From the vaginal exams, to no privacy in the bathroom, to bathing with her til I was 14, to having her force me to change clothes in front of her even though I told her I felt uncomfortable. It is sick now to see how sick she really was..
