I’m just a gal who loves to crochet and share what I know with my friends who want to learn this skill too. I’m NOT a professional by any stretch of the imagination (not that you haven’t already figured that out! 😉😆), but hopefully you can get the gist of what I’m talking about despite that fact. So, take a peek over my shoulder while I stitch, and I’ll do my level best to help you pick up a few new skills that will enable you to create your own handcrafted pieces for the ones you love.
Envelope Border/Double Border (shortened version)
A quick(ish) video to show how I make my envelope borders. For a full tutorial with lots more detail and explanation see my video for the envelope border/double border for Better Together Throw.

In this video you’ll learn how to work the three different stitches I used in the body of my O Christmas Tree Throw blanket. This video does not include how to work the envelope border. If you need a tutorial for how to make that border you can look at the one titled Envelope border/double border for Better Together Throw. The technique for how to make it is the same. The only differences in th...

This is so darn cute!!
Thanks so much! ❤️
A full tutorial is needed to explain what all of those are. 🤷🏽♀️
Full tutorial is now available. 😊
I just finished making my blanket. It turned out so beautiful. Your pattern was very well written and easy to follow. I’m excited to have it out this Christmas season.
Wonderful! I’m so happy to hear that! ❤️
What brand and colors did you use?
Loops and Threads Impeccable from Michael’s in Forest, Putty, and Cherry.
How much more yarn do you use?
I used one extra skein for the border.
Found you today. Thanks for sharing your crochet knowledge. Well done. Enjoyable, with great explanation in all your videos. 👍
Thank you so much! Happy to know you’re finding them helpful! 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing xo
You are so welcome! 🥰
Thank you for sharing this. I have to try this
You’re welcome! Have fun stitching! ❤️
I like crocheting in the bump, as well.
....nostalgic, I remember rhythm that ,from my granny 😊
Awesome, thank you 🥰🌺🧶🦋
Your demo and explanations are nice and clear. Thanks!
I want you to know I fell in love with your project, colors and all. I decided to make it myself. I do find I crave BLT's when I work on it, though :D Thank you for sharing this with us!
This is a gorgeous blanket👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤
Thank you! ❤️
Beautiful thanks for aharing
Hi, I got kind of lost after you did the three singles in the corner where you started crocheting down the side to cover the loose ends. I wish you would have slowed down n explain where exactly you placed your stitches. I'm not too clear on that part. You work too fast. Darn.
Every row of Vs will have 2 single crochets each as you go up the side. So 2 scs for each green row, 2 scs for each putty row, and 2 scs for each red row. As far as placement goes I just placed the stitches underneath/around the last double crochet/turning chain of the row. In the gap that’s there between the last v and the last double crochet. Hope that makes sense! Also, I uploaded a short that shows me crocheting up the sides that might help. You might try watching that to see if it clears things up a bit.
Here’s the short: th-cam.com/users/shortsD4bDqQxXxZM?feature=share
@Mary Wegrzyn, try adjusting the speed by tapping the screen then tap the sprocket looking icon in the right upper corner. Pick a slower speed (those marked above the normal) that maybe works better for you. Of course I always have to turn down the volume because it sounds distracting. It would help a bit if the yarn color didn't blend into the table so much, makes it difficult to follow.
I love watching your videos , you ate very patient 👍
Thanks so much 💯%
Am so grateful for watching your video , you teach well , am now learning to crochet
Aww, thank you so much! This makes my heart happy. 😊
I just made a scarf with the v stitch. Love it! Great tutorial!😊
That’s great! It’s such a simple stitch, but so very pretty! And thank you! 😊
hope to see more tutorial soon 🤗🤩🥰😘

love the pattern and love your tutorial😍😍
Thank you! So glad you like it!
Please advise red color as I can't wait to get started!
It’s Loops and Threads Impeccable from Michael’s, cherry, color #01436

Very nice! I know you said Impeccable yarn by Loops and Threads, colors putty, forest green and cherry red, but Michaek's does not list a "cherry" red as a choice. Perhaps, I misunderstood?
It’s cherry. The color number is 01436.
Love the pattern
So glad you like it! It’s definitely one of my favorites!
Love this easy stitch😊
Me too! So simple yet so beautiful!
What size hook??
I used a size 7/4.5mm hook.
@@cloverpatchcreative2232 is a 7 a K hook???
@@cloverpatchcreative2232 is a 7 a K hook???
@@Tammy-td5ok no it’s an odd size between a G and H hook
Yes, what Kathy said. It’s between a G and H hook. 4.5mm
I’m not familiar with this holiday blanket, it would have been nice to see what the new stitch looked like in the blanket and not just in the swatch!
I have pictures of it posted on both my Facebook and Instagram accounts.
There is a link in the description to the pattern in Etsy that shows a full size blanket
Great work 👏 👍 👌 💪
