WARNING...SWEARING AND BAD LANGUAGE IS PRESENT IN THIS VIDEO
Just here for anyone who is looking how to do this. Dont blindly set them all to number 1. Set them all to the vacuum level stated in the haynes manual 👍
The bolt you are undo at 18:12 is mega stuck on my blackbird. I can't get it loose. I'm affraid im destroying the hex when i'm turning it more powerfull.. :(
Do you need to remove the rear wheel??
Fork Caps, Spacer, Washer, Spring
Any tip on removing the rear peg as the pin is a nightmare to get to
Thanks 🙏 for uploading this video
High tosh I believe I have that exact fz6 now in my possession I’d love to get in contact with you to confirm it. still has all the tank stickers and the extras that you put on it.Have all the receipts and MOTs that the bike went through. That bike was imported to Ireland a couple of years ago and now I have it!
Try white vinegar
Thanks Tosh, with your Vid did my BB forks TC North Carolina, I found it easier to weigh the old oil (gram scale) put same in. After push/pulling the rod for several minutes the levels came out the same air gap.
Pads binding since changing do you think dirty got on piston when pushed back and need cleaning and regreasing or
Nice just what I was looking for
Hi mate, this is the strangest thing. This is my old bike. You bought it off me for your lass a few year back. Am so pleased to see you have been looking after it. Great bike to ride, they handle lovely for such a little motor.
very helpful, thank you!
Yeah this guy has no clue as to what he's doing... do yourself a favor and find another video that shows something
hi there, where did you get your little laser tool?
Cockneys are an endangered species now, unfortunately.
Have you still got the blackbird ?
VERY VERY nice video, but i have a sugestion. Yes clean A LOT and polish all you can the pin that hold the pads, but dont use grease on it, even from factory my bike didn't have any grease on that part and there is a logic to it. The logic is... you want to have that part clean, as you need t he pads slide correctly without stick, but if you use grease on that place, the dirt will get sticky to it and that would make the sticky problem of the pads even worse. My advise is... take out the pin, polish it and that is it, dont use grease, just a dry polish pin would be enought.
❤❤👍👍👌
hi i have a question. can use a motul 10w for my cbr 1100 blackbird??? may manual say ATF OIL for forks. congratulations for the vids.
Very Good
The residue is got to be sugar.
They put the kick stand on the wrong side again! SHIT.
excelent...congratulations.
Did you change your fork oil to 7W ?
Putting a pin hole in the vinyl compromises the integrity of the vinyl, made that mistake before, a wee bit of heat and a push it out with your finger
Hi Tosh, When you changed the Blackbird fork oil to 5w, did you have the original springs or the "jaws " upgrade in ? Also, what air gap did you use ?
I'm in the process of updating my blackbird and your vids are helping me so much 👍
go shut you self in your empty head..moron
Cant believe people are tight arses when it comes to 250kmh + bikes, be it fork seals or pads. What do you think is between you and the big swan song. 45 quid, cmon. Spend that down the boozer on a Fri night. The oil pretty much costs more than the seals, which is going to be useless anyway when they fully pack up. Here in australia you need a roadworthy every year anyway, and thats the first thing they look for. Never compromise on front brakes and forks, ever on bikes like this!
Why are you taking master cyl off? Just loosen the handlebar clamps & the locking rings off the top of forks & slide or pull forks through. Wheel & axle & brake line/calipers off. Undo bottom bolts holding forks & pull fork legs out. Hope you have already loosened top forks cap for easy removal. Now ready to change the fork oil. I use 8.75W. fork oil as 10W to hard & 7,5W too soft. I don't worry about measuring distance top of fork to oil. I justmeasure correct volume of it & that's it. Bob's your Aunt, that's it.Lol.
Hi great video . My blackbird is bouncy or choppy at the front at times maybe condition of the roads not sure .I also changed front fork oils .but still the same maybe that's the way blackbirds are .do.u still have the old bird .
Great video .my black is stiff or bouncy at the front end even though I did my fork oils Do.u still.have the old bird .
Damn that sounds like some bad gas or something - valves?
Maybe there was no swarf on the magnet because it has collected on the oil drain plug, which is usually magnetised. Most engines generate some metal flakes as they wear.
If you don't have something good about the bird shut up. You have and ridden the by yourself . You love the power and the handling yet you are making negative comment on this bike . You couldn't even keep up with this little speed. If you want yo make comments on a bike try it on good road , corner and with the right sense of judgement. You video is boring ......
Dear Tosh, a couple days ago I fell off my honda cbr xx, I have two broken ribs, clavicle trauma, etc, the bike get a broken right mirror, front fairing, cowl in pieces, I wonder If You could suggest a web site to get at a reasonable price a painted fairing and decals, thanks in advance and all yhe best for the channel sincerely yours Sergio
Where did you get that windshield?
Thank you mate 👍🏼🏍
EN LA PAGINA 3-16 DEL MANUAL DE TALLER DE LA FZ6 2004 SE INDICA QUE LAS PRESION DE VACIO EN LA SINCRONIZACION DE LOS CUERPOS DE MARIPOSA, SE TIENE QUE REGULAR A (218mmHg) A CUANTO REGULASTES ESTA FZ6. A CUANTO REGULASTES ESTA FZ6. ----------------------------------- PAGE 3-16 OF THE 2004 FZ6 WORKSHOP MANUAL INDICATES THAT THE VACUUM PRESSURE IN THE SYNCHRONIZATION OF THE BUTTERFLY BODIES MUST BE REGULATED AT (218mmHg) How much you regulate is FZ6. IT SEEMS THAT YOU LEAVE THEM REGULATED AT (200mmHg)
Should have took ya time 😂😂👏🏻
You have the Suzuki part number for the fuel pressure regulator 2000 Suzuki Hayabusa ?
Where should the oil level be with the bike on the side stand, and when up straight, what quantity oil should i use, is a 10w 40 full synthetic ok, how regularly should i do the oil change. Thanks so much Regards from RSA
Oil level should be measured with the bike up straight. Oil quantities and service intervals will be in your manual
Thanks, great savings to have on doing your own services, what horns do you have on the bike.
have you stopped posting?
You said that four pinch bolts was overkill, I broke one on the captive side so I got one on the right and two on the left torqued to 16 foot pounds, is it safe to ride like that or not? I would appreciate your advice if possible
Hey everyone I’m having similar problem, has anyone any ideas? My bike will start fine but as soon as it starts to warm it cuts off then won’t start again until cold, there are no fault codes coming up either some please help, what could this be? It is 2000 model gen 1, thanks
