Yea, that totally was a no hit. It was fun learning their moveset. I'd say the biggest "Ohhhhh" moment was noticing that throwing daggers would make the fat one run towards you or throw fireball. Throwing daggers also made the skinny one dodge left or right or throw fireballs. I used this to help me separate them. Fat one has easy telegraphs so I took care of him first. Skinny one, I forced him to use fireball or waited for his slam into the ground to punish him.

Switching my build to really go into Poison helped a lot. I was surprised.

Ah. That one is luck of the draw for me but I tend to dodge into him for any projectile.

For the most part yea, I'm unsure if his unavoidable aoe would be considered a hit though.

I wouldn’t count it, especially since you had the correct flask to counter it

I'll try it out. I don't think it would be successful though because over "on hit healing". She'd probably outlast me.

lol, total vanity on my part. I saw the health going down due to Bloodsucking Cracked Tear but did the gesture instead of healing.

I'm not sure. On every run I've done against her, she starts off with partial health. I might be misremembering though.

On that note, I did see the number carry though to that phase but it might be negligible.

Haha, I didn't realize I did that but after you pointed that out, it gave me a good laugh.

I don't remember but looking at my level, I think I did. As far as easy goes, parry really helps with this fight. Once you figure out how to separate them, even for a small window, I recommend beelining it to the fat one. He has very easy parry telegraphs and it only takes one to stagger him. Bleed on these guys also helps a lot too. A combo of the two and they can be taken down fast. I'll try this out with a level 80-100 character though. Just to make sure I'm not making it up haha.

That one is pretty good. I get the Twin Moon Knight and Bayle themes stuck in my head too. :)

Yea, that cracked me up. With my Star Fist (Cragblade) fight, I staggered her more often.

Yea, you can put parry on any fist weapon. Apparently, it's one of the worst parries so folks avoid it. I can see it. But I'll continue practicing so I can master it lol.

He's grizzled

I'm unsure if it forces him to do the lunge, tbh. It's just a habit I picked up from the Malenia fight to try and force her to do her Waterfowl dance. Also, I get impatient sometimes and doing miniscule damage is better than no damage lol.

lol, for sure. I wish for this and Demon's Souls it was treated as a viable option.

Yea, for sure. My first attempt here, I miscalculated a move and was hit for a big amount of dark damage and died with almost full health. On this attempt, I remembered everything he did and just went with the flow. It cracks me up how small my weapon is as you will see there were some whiffs. Also, camera was the biggest threat here. There were a lot of zooming in and lock-on kept getting disabled. I'd say that was the most frustrating thing about the fight.

@@SpykunAsura IMO fighting him with lock-on is hard mode, I'm impressed. I never use lock on for this guy because his constant head movement disorients me.

This guy was such a pain. I would have liked to have done small 2-hit combos on him but he's too quick. I would not have time to recover. C'est la vie.

For sure. It's disappointing though that there are only a few and not many options for a unique and cool Ash of War.
