Super Duty Service

So, we decided about a decade ago we should show everything that happens in the shop. Why not???? We have the technology to do so. I still do not understand why other shops do not do this. What are they hiding? Things get real in these live streams. Never know what might be flying around!
We decided to go ahead and monetize our other diag channel. The jobs we do deserve more than a couple random videos spread across a massive library. Tanner decided to merge our jobs into one long video for each truck. The editing he is doing is kinda daunting!! Have you seen my videos??? lol.
Moral of this story is this channel will be where the daily uploads are like on the other channel used to be. and hopefully we can make movie type content for the individual jobs, condensed into one setting.
We are still considering a giveaway btw!!! We just need to make sure we don't give away more than we have tho!!! lol

Pushing the limits of imperfection!!! Then running it across the country
Come hang out at Super Duty Service for a bit,, it is just like a roller coaster ride here!! We finally do a truck for "us". And I decide how many things we will test. How rough can a surface be? How many piston bashes can we leave? And once we get our truck done,, let's drive it across the country to pick up Ron's F350 in South Carolina. And then,, lets see what our "competition" puts out.

How much does a complete rebuild cost?
I overheated my 07 f25 6.0 last week brown sluge in the coolant Reservoir
Hey brotha I am wondering how much it will cost to rebuild my 6.0 back to stock I through roller bearing needles through the Lpop so it automatically needs a new front cover and rollers head gaskets and that’s just the surface of the meat that I’m looking at do you know of any kits that are good to buy so I can rebuild it my self?
Hello, I am interested in repairing my 2006 Ford 6.0l engine with you, if possible, I need a way to communicate with you.
That Signs BadAss
good, I'm interested in communicating with you
Did he say this rebuild took 6 months?
Awesome build, T.L.C. put in the Power Stroke.Miss thee machine work, that's awesome when you got satisfied clients.
What is your process for drilling holes in the conrods? Do hone the bushings afterwards?
Wow Some Junk The Others DID
If I remember right, you can’t run oring’d head on felpro gaskets ?
Why do you use felpro instead of oem head gaskets ?
Wats the estimate?
Looks like wat I do in my driveway. Sad wat people think They are good at. Sad. No pride anymore.
Man. I wish I had 20k fir u to bring life back to my 6.0. 18 min mark
Coolant pump
My 6.0. Tires broke loose light rain. Until I dropped an injector. Now it’s like a regular truck 😂.
Did you have aftermarket, bigger injectors?
So wat causes scarring on oil fill cap on 6.0s?
Placing it on the battery when it is removed. Thx for watching!!
2:50 "sleep fast" 😂
Its required!!! lol.
Hello 👋. Good morning. Yes I just change my oil every 4500 miles on my 6.7. And new filters. I personally don’t believe in extending oil changes Just change it Oil is cheap. Engines are expensive. Have a good day. Jeff. Sc.
But we sell engines,,,, right?? lol
Do you use break-in oil and is it needed?
Does anyone really know that answer?? I’m all ears. Lol. We have roller lifters so would that lessen the need for more zink if motorcraft 15/40 Dino oil is used?? I’m asking a question back. Lol. Thx for watching!!!
What’s the reasoning for revving the engine like that at first fire up?
That is a GREAT comment. I will have to get a video answering that question. It is a "theory" of mine. It kinda evolves around the idea of the slowing crankshaft being loaded up to increase the rotation,, as it is slowing. It causes the fpw (fuel pulse width) to raise,, which equals much more fuel being introduced. I will comment more on this when we get back in the shop. Thank you for watching!!!
😁 time flies when you're having fun right?
Did you see all the people,, while I was working??? We had a couple mishaps on this one,, but with the crowd,, this better be second nature to hold conversations about other trucks CONSTANTLY while trying to focus on the actual "project" at hand!!! lol
Anthony weld a donor socket to the head of the bolt. She'll turn right out. You can cut the weld and reuse on another bolt. Plus the bolt can be reused.
I have never really been a fan of welding. I get the concept,, but I struggle with bragging about my own personal welding skills. I can drill a freakin hole tho!!! lol
Hey Julie, I sent you an email a few weeks ago about my rebuild but never heard back from you.
Holy crap Eric!!! Very cool!!! We would LOVE to take care of EVERYONE,, and I cannot wait to do so!!! Honestly,, commenting on here is the best way to "squeaky wheel" the situation. After a decade of being a "production shop",, we have set ourselves up to no longer have to bang as many trucks as possible. But in turn, it allows us to focus like I have always wanted to. We prob have about 15 builds under our belt in our new shop. We actually have been building our "dream" facility!! I honestly would love to do an "Open House" or something. The setup we have going on right now is compounding times better than we have ever had!!!! In all aspects. This story is best told in person tho. I absolutely love the thought of you choosing us to do what we do to your truck!!! Glad you are here!!!
What injectors do you usually get? And how good they are based on your experience?
l have a complex about only using Ford remans. I have not had 100% success with ANYTHING tho!!! lol I have never had a great experience with aftermarket sets. I have with Ford's. So if someone already has them,,, fine,,, but I have no interest in warranting anything about them. We are starting to have the aftermarket ones set on our table tho!!! Testing is constantly happening lately!!!
Oil fill cap gets in that condition by being set on the battery. Acidic corrosion of plastic
Give that man an auxiliary transmission filter oring!!!! That's the first prize that came to mind!!!! lol
Go see if yours is leaking,,, Julie will get one out to you!!!!
@@SuperDutyService, how about a new oil fill cap instead? Mine is pretty gnarly. Lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good
sofar,,,, lol
I love watching these types of videos. Definitely a fan of how thorough you are with the process. Not taking big cuts, or speeding the machines up to get it done quickly. Keep up the awesome work!
I like the feeling of actually giving it our all. It is much easier to sleep at night. lol Thank you for the kind words also. I about have the next video ready to post. Hope to see you when we do Jason's F350. He's next!! I think we have his video down to about an hour.
@@SuperDutyService kinda funny cause my names Jason and I got an 05 CCLB DRW 6.0 lol. Maybe it’s mine🤣
We finally got it hanging in the shop. AWESOME!!! Thank you Frank!!!
Awesome
Hello Youngbloods 👋
What kind of paints were you using? I would think some may be hi temp paints.
The only special paint we use is on the exhaust parts. It is supposed to be 2000 degree stuff. Regular style auto body paint has been working on all the other stuff for a long time. We paint the oil pan,,, like it's a fender!!! lol
Another pointless post
from another pointless no name douche,,,, That's exactly what I was thinking too!!!!
F350 SUPERDUTY take about 17 qts if you completely drain it
We had the tft sensor, and the torque convertor out. Adding 17 back to it says there was almost NO fluid left in it!!!
Why do bubbles show up on the dipstick?
Maybe overfilled?!?
I think I was referring to the dimples on the actual dipstick tube. Those are very good at showing the fluid level. Did you see bubbles on this video,, or are you going off what I said??
@@SuperDutyService I was going off of what you said. I’ve also seen bubbles on my tranny dipstick before and was just curious why.
I've heard to not check the trans fluid level after hard driving. Something about aerating the fluid. I always remember that when checking fluid. I like to hit reverse after hard driving too before checking the level.
what paint do you use to paint the block? I have been looking for a gray paint like that
I have found that the block really doesn't get exposed to abnormal heat. So I do not stick solely to engine rated paint. Maybe someday I will find that perfect paint to use,,, but for now,, I kinda just use whatever. I think it is great when the owner suggests something specific to use tho. One of these days someone will suggest something and I will like it and stick with it. We have been liking the 2x paint tho. Just of the shelf stuff.
Cool
Coolant is nasty. Every chance we get I try to not touch it!!! lol
How fast can you say the title of this short??? Lol
Looks like an older Mercedes. Those are self bleeding. The reservoir where you fill from is the highest part of the system.
This man speaks the truth. I’ve never had an air pocket deter anything I’ve ever done with a 6.0. But my old chevy k1500 NEEDED this and I’m sure many other makes models do too. It is also a very clean way to fill the system no matter the model. Also the leak check is nice.
It’s also the best way to set the level where we want it FAST!!!
I like CNC a and machining, but your clip was just not worthy. I believe you can do better and you will so please do your smart
What are you saying?? I read it a couple times and then gave up. The clip sucks?? And you’d rather see machining??
K,,, good talk!!!
That ugly woman was mean to that little boy with a weird hat on. It's it to repel the government from reading his mind?
Nice job!! what did the cost of a overhaul cost?
Are we sure everyone is ready to see the numbers? There is a chance you all will not like me anymore!!! lol I can say that not much happens for under 10k. Rebuilds hit 20+ all the time. It all depends on the truck. We do put packages together all the time to work with budgets tho.
I will pay that over paying 60k plus on new trucks nowadays.
How much did you cut off the down pipe ?
1 1/2” or so.
Blown cold side charge air pipe? Mine spewed black spots all over.
I honestly do not have any scientific answers for what causes it. But if you go act like you are gonna add oil,, you might see what causes it.
Did you cut the down pipe to fit ? I’ve got my 3.5 2 piece down pipe that rubs the transmission crossmember bolts
That is a drag,,, generally it needs the vertical section of the exhaust shortened. which is a drag because it it constantly trying to fall back down. So welding it is best!!!
Consider new motor mounts to bring the engine up to its original height.
Crankcase pressure
Possibly thru a loophole,,, meaning you have to add oil because of the pressure???
Over heating?
Not sure about this,,,,,
MIG welding sparks
Those definitely could be caused by welding,, I just do not think that is the case on all of em.
