Jim Corbett National Park, A bucket list destination for wildlife lovers. It was on our list for a long time and finally we made it to the park. We drove from Pangot to Ramnagar which is the gateway to Corbett. Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest park located in Uttarakhand, India. Known for its rich flora and fauna it is famous for Asian Elephants, Royal Bengal Tigers, Deers and different local and migratory birds. The park is divided into 6 zones and Dhikala is considered as the best zone for Tiger sighting. We stayed in Dhikala Forest Rest House which is located in the core area of the forest. It is managed by Forest Department of Uttarakhand and provides basic accommodation & amenities. If you plan to go to Corbett please book safaris minimum 45 days in advance to get the zone of your choice.
The best season to visit is the winter season from October to February.
