This channel has some of the best backing tracks you will hear on TH-cam. The tracks are mainly instrumentals, such as The Shadows and The Surfaris etc. I have been a guitarist for over 40 years and played along with these backing tracks for a great portion of those years. Because of ill health, I am unable to play any longer and feel that these tracks should not be wasted, they should be enjoyed by other guitarists and other musicians all over the world. These tracks are high quality and have brought me great enjoyment, I hope they will bring you that same joy.

The original and the most recognised Shadows tune. I used to play this with my '62 white Strat (I know, it should be Fiesta Red), through my Fender Champion 100 (emulates the AC30 pretty well) using two Behringer EM600 Echo Pedals. Nice in parts, but organ way too imposing.
The Shadows never used a Watkins Copicat - good as they are. They used a Meazzi, which gave them their unique sound. The best contemporary unit is the Hall and Collins. And yes, I have them all.

Very nice and clear, I love soloing on this track. By the way, Do you play the THEME FROM SHANE backing track? That would be great.
In 1960, I was a 12 year old American boy living in The Netherlands, as my father was employed by an American firm there. Teenagers in my neighborhood formed a Shadows copy band, and I was lucky enough to be the drummer. Our band was very popular, and remained together for many years, even after my family returned to the States. In those years, I learned all of Hank Marvin's licks, and came to the States, where I was surprised to find that not one of my American friends had even heard of them. Now at 72 years old, I play songs for my friends, and they love them. Just goes to show. I do want to comment on the Stratocaster in the video. Fender had no license to export their guitars, so Cliff brought that guitar pictured in your video. back on the plane. First Stratocaster in the UK. I have some Shadows songs, which I play on, on my channel. Thanks for your channel.

horns and violins are way louder than even the drums, can't barely hear Bruce rhythm guitar part chords, specially at supporting the "solo" bridges points. Way overblown, unevenly

No matter only one in the collective played outstanding or off tune, the sum of its parts add successful delivery of the work or demeans it, making all fall down. I agree. I entertain myself by doing instrumental karaoke and this track is the best. There are a couple of TH-camrs who used this track to play along with on guitar. I also play the melody to it with my electric piano in 'clean guitar' mode.
