@@huascar1205 you’re welcome.
GOOD VIDEO AND INSTALLATION WORK. VERY UNDERSTANDABLE. I HAVE TO DO THE SAME THING!
Honda still maintance his image for durability. Yamaha, why you use yamaha? You a big fans of yamaha? Yamaha is the most weak japanese engine. Not in motorcycle, generator, all like a crap.
@@nejoh713 this is the only work boat we have with Yamaha. Yamaha has better low end torque than the Hondas do. I’m not partial to any of them but to take these off and buy new Hondas doesn’t make sense to spend the money. These were on the boat when we got it.
@@captleesoutdooradventures7133 if your repair that engine. 3 month later will blown up again. Yamaha is the most not reliable japanese engine. Do you ever see yamaha 4 stroke engine after 20 years used today? Their company can't make engine. They only make a good pianos and drums.
@@nejoh713 well that’s where you’d be wrong. It’s been running for over a year since the lower unit was replaced. No issues since. Engine has over 4000 hours on it.
@@captleesoutdooradventures7133 oke. Good luck for you sir.
There’s a ticket gotta turn the boat off to hunt buddy 😂
@@HookedonFL Perfectly legal to hunt in Florida while pushing through the grass flats with a push pole. Or climbing out of the boat to push by hand as you can see in some of my other videos. Or as you can see in this video I am clearly using a push pole.
How do you know how much fluid to put back in? Mine has been leaking for awhile so how do i know how much to add after i do everything else?
@@christianthearborist844 you fill it to the top. Best to use the hose that threads in so you can turn the steering side to side while working out all air bubbles in the system. When it’s full put the cap back on.
I just installed my trailer lights. Same set up. Breaks work, flashers work but running lights at night don’t. Any thoughts?
@@joecastillomovies check and make sure you have power coming from the vehicle on the flashers and running lights on the vehicle side. Also check connections by giving them a good tug to make sure they are solid. If you do have power coming from the vehicle I’d go to each connection and see where you have lost power from the front to the back.
I would pressure wash everything first with simple green. Where FSR really shines is where the gel coat has yellowed. Bleach will destroy your gelcoat in the long run.
I agree that the bleach is harsh and hard on the gelcoat. The pressure washer goes a long way but the bleach is just my preference to finish it all up.
This took longer to get the tools together than to get the steering wheel off. Life made simple. Great video !
Glad you found it helpful. Sometimes getting the steering wheel can be a real pain.
What belt number is that
3211149 Polaris oem belt not an aftermarket brand.
after the boat stopped were you able to engage gear at low speed? did you drain the lower unit and how did that look? I have the same issue but it's intermintent and happens at the end of the trips. But my last trip I couldn't get it to stay in gear.
No once it went out the gears were gone in this one. Drained the fluid and it was large chunks of metal. Intermittent issues may be more likely a shift fork issue or even in the shifter cable or binnacle. I had a friend with an intermittent issue like you are describing. I’ll reach out to him and see if he ever found a solution.
@@captleesoutdooradventures7133 Thank you!. I"m going to replace the shift cable too, but I have a shift actuator for Dual station and that adds another failure point. the Red Morse Shift cable did have some end play. Next time I'm back at the marina I'll check the shift fork. I do recall the shift fork/ linkage rattling and I thought maybe the cable was loose and not keeping tension on the shift lever.
Did u have to empty the fluid out of system before doing this
No you don’t need to empty the fluid. A small amount may seep out but no more than you can handle with a paper towel.
Best You Tube guide and advise! But How come there wasn’t any Tube Loom used in this installation? Is it even Necessary to use tube loom? Cheers TK
Thank you! The wire loom is good at chafe points to keep the wire from being cut or from shorting out but not necessary throughout the entire trailer. I didn’t have any issues with that here so it t was not needed.
Make sure you have three, clean grounds (white wires) on the trailer chassis or the LEDs won’t work right.
Best diy install. I feel confident installing my set of lights on my trailer now. Thanks
You’re welcome. Glad you found it helpful.
This is so cool! Love this. I'm working on a yt video project about messenger pigeons - could I use a clip from this? (with credit of course) ?
You may use a clip with credit.
@@captleesoutdooradventures7133 thank you!
Great video
Thank you
do you do guided rail bird hunts?
Not at this time but I’m considering it. I am working with my dogs to hunt and that has been my priority.
That's a disappointment result
I felt so as well however, I was very impressed with how the bleach did. I just don’t like that it’s such a harsh product on the gelcoat.
thank you for the video
Glad some people are finding it useful.
Awesome video and I have a quick question. I have PVC trailer guide posts and bought a set of LED lights that attach at the very top. I would like these to function with my trailer left and right lights. Any ideas on how I can integrate the wiring so they work properly?
Most of the time those are used instead of the low tail lights. You can wire them into the existing wires going to your current tail lights though. You’ll need to splice into the current wiring. I’m not a fan of cutting and splicing but that would leave you little options. I would put the ground on the bolt just like I did on the current tail light and use a blue butt connector and put the 2 tail light wires in it and crimp. You can put silicone grease or dielectric grease In the connector before you heat shrink to help keep water out and prevent corrosion. The other option is to run the wire all the way back to the tongue of the trailer and tie in up there so the connector are never submerged.
Awesome I can't thank you enough for the response

why didnt you disconnect the fuel pump?
It’s just a bad habit of me doing things the way that I’m used to. It is always a good idea to stop any potential fuel flow.
How tight do you tighten the screws ? Just snug or nice and tight ?
Snug. They don’t need anything crazy.
Repainted mine with SX bird vision paint. They look great
Just so people know its a very accurate bow when it is set up correctly . #1 shame on the dad for not setting up the bow for her . Who doesn't add a string arrow nock right off the bat so the arrow is at the correct position? The arrows are not flying the same because the arrow is being put at a different location of the string every shot because you didn't add a string nock . #2 just add a few string nocks to hold the finger guards in place . Its not brain surgery. Just doing these to simple things will change her option about the bow because if she does her job and holds the pin on the target guess what the arrow will hit in the same place every time . What in the heck did you do ,just take the bow out of the box and say hear you go start shooting ? You are like the worse dad ever . How about you take 10 minutes out of your busy day and set up her bow . Then make another video and ask her again what she thinks about the bow .
Yeah I don’t really love my kids. I just pretend to for TH-cam likes and subscribes. When the video was over I threw the bow in the trash.
Also if you watch the follow up video that we did later you’ll see that we added a string knock on the bow. It’s not rocket surgery to check for updates and progress.
Hello good video i have hunting video on youtube
Thanks a lot
Thank you for the video. It helped me save $200
Glad I was able to put something out that helps.
I just bought the same type of kit for my boat trailer. And this video is going to be very helpful with my installation of the trailer lights. Thank you
You’re welcome. These light have been running for over 2 years now and still doing great.
A good trick with working without the E collar is turning it on next to her head and let her hear the beep while slipping om her regular collar. My dog would think he was wearing the E collar. Many a hunt test trainer does that little trick before testing starts.
Not a bad idea. Mine does not make any sound.
This type of early yard work is great for pups this age. They'll use it the rest of their life. Hopefully getting my PP this January.
I hope that was a blank Cartridge. The last time I saw the shooter the gun was pointed in the air. I wonder where that would come down.
Yes, they are blanks. They look almost identical to a .22 but the end is crimped over instead of having lead in it.
@@captleesoutdooradventures7133 Nice video thanks for sharing. I hope your channel does great.
Poor birds. But I love everything else.
Its not for everyone but it’s what she was bred to do. Gotta give her what her little heart desires.
Not the birds 💀
💀
She was bred to be a bird dog. It’s apart of her life. Would be a shame to not let her live her best life. She loves it.
@@captleesoutdooradventures7133 ah, okay that makes sense. just caught me off guard I guess 😂
Apparently they top out at 6k rpm. But no need to ask them to do that.
Lower unit goes and you quickly find the rev limiter lol
I used to tease the heck out of my pup with a certain toy for a couple days, then put it away. After a couple days I'd bring out the special toy and use it for retrieving play. But only that toy.
Gotta build that drive.
She's doing very good. I hope to be getting my PP this January. This one will be my last gun dog. Looking forward to a new hunting partner.
Thank you. It’s exciting and overwhelming at the same time having a puppy. If you’re on Instagram follow me so I can follow back and see your pup grow. @captLee_outdoors
Yamaha's are better than any other outboard they all can have problems but overall yamaha is more reliable
We run a few different engines on our work boats. I’d agree they all have their issues but from my personal experience I wouldn’t say one is better than the other.
Ain't ever wanna be blowing lowers. Or uppers
The F150 is the most reliable outboard that Yamaha makes. It has been built for over 20years and many techs have never seen one in for repairs, ever.. 3k-4k hours of Tow Boat service should have made you enough $ to go out and get a new pair...
Absolutely. But we swapped the lower unit and it’s still kicking just fine.
High rpm. 42/44 be good
4800rpm for the last 3000-4000 hours and they are still running strong.
I had a 2008 mercury 90 that had 8000 hours and ran that thing at 5600 everywhere because I’m an impatient person. It failed at 5600 also. Threw a rod through the block when the oil pump failed. So now I got another one
Good ole Yamaha doin what they do best
All yamahas do that!
Well that’s what happens when you underpower your boat
No that’s what happens when an engine has 3000-4000 hours on it and it’s used for commercial towing.
I want one too bad I live in Cali. Oh wait I can just go to Nevada and get one over there and bring it back
This one isn’t mine. It belongs to a guy that went through the tax stamp process to get it. I don’t have any suppressors at this time but it was fun to shoot.
Your boat averages 30 mph I’m guessing
That’s about right.
Saltwater?
Yes salt or brackish depending on where I run.
👋🏻
🤢
They are delicious.
I like your coop!
Thanks. I’m limited on space so I had to get creative and build something that fits. It’s also completely built from scrap wood.
