I had thyroid surgery thanks God no cancer, but my mother died because of thyroid cancer. My vocal cords were damaged after the surgery and is. Try hard for me to do my daily routines because I can not breathe, so sad the Dr that did my surgery never took care after that 😢

What is going on with the emergence of these huge thyroids all of a sudden?

I had a thyroidectomy due to nodules with “suspicious” biopsy results. Cold biopsy showed no cancer. Post thyroidectomy I’ve had lingering dysphagia and of course been medication reliant. GET A SECOND OPINION PEOPLE. Doctors make alot of money off of surgery. Never forget that.

Hey Dr Rashmi! Its Sanj from London. Im a Head & Neck cancer surgeon. I had a massive retrosternal goitre and its the forst time in 25 years i could get it all out! The mediastinal part was reall stuck to her trachea all the way down to arch of aorta. The patient was morbidly obese and his cricoid was an inch above his sternal notch! I got most of it out and relieved his compression symptoms but the reall deep chest paet was left behind. Ive bever had to open a chest before for a goitre. Any thoughts?

What should you put on it? I had my right side out 3 weeks ago but I wish my doctor would have Taken the whole thing since I have a small nodule on the left. My right was 7.2 cm. If I have to get another surgery I will probably use another surgeon

My daughter's thyroid is around her trachea/ windpipe, and into her chest. The swelling around her neck is massive, poor darling. I hope that her surgery will be as effective as your patient, Doctor.

My goiter was so big it went down into my chest. I had my Thyroidectomy surgery one year ago. My surgeon said it was so big it took him an extra hour in surgery to remove it! 🥹🥹

Low dose Testosterone can prevent and shrink goiters. But your doctor won't prescribe it. Especially to women. Women are not as important than men. They will cut us up and let us die a slow agonizing death, so that men can have muscles and screw everything in sight.

Dr. Roy that looks similar to mine surgery a few week ago. I want you to tell my story. Let me tell you. You did such an awesome work on removing my large goiter. I have not had a good sleep because i could only sleep on one side because, sleeping on my left side would hamper my breathing. I was told from my CT scans that my goiter was touching my windpipe. I knew it was time to get the surgery. I had constant ear aches. Now that it has been remove my ear has not hurt me once. After my surgery, i cant tell you how great i feel. Now i can fly, once i am completely heal A Years ago i flew and the pressure from the plane made me feel i was being strangled. Thank you Doctor Roy for doing such a great job on me. I am so glad the fear i felt when the doctor told me about cutting open my chest, made me seek other alternative. I researched your Center, and was please what i read. Hi, I had my thyroid removed on August 7: and my thyroid was almost a big. My thyroid was wrapped around a lymph node. The doctor thought I was going to be able to talk after surgery. Thanks be unto God I woke up talking.

I have low thyroid first time hearing of goiter?

I felt something on the side of my neck a couple years ago that felt like an almond that has slowly grown and now feels elongated and much bigger. My doctor said it’s a muscle an MRI showed muscle much larger in size than other side. I know it’s growing! Nobody listens to me. Is this possibly a growing muscle? I’ve never heard of a goiter. I wish you could show what it looks like and where they are located.

Doc if you see this please answer! I have in suffering with hashimoto's symptoms for over 10 years. In the past 6 years I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and pots syndrome. I strongly believe these are severe symptoms of my hashimoto's. After all these years I still do not need medication however I was on short term disability for 6 months and have never been well the past 10 years. I work from home because of the chest pains and palpitations and dizziness and severe fatigue and pot symptoms, also weakness and severe hand pain. Do you think I will be a candidate for a thyroidectomy??

Dr. Roy you just did surgery on my thyroid about a week and half ago. I had an almost three pound goiter removed. I am more than pleased, with my results, and i feel like a new person. Everyone at the center was more than awesome. I cant believe the extent of my goiter, and surgery that i feel so great and healing fast and with no complaints. I have enlarge goiter and I have notice that I am having more difficulties when swallowing, example I shock easily, I need to chew my food very well to avoid shocking. I have not check my Thyroid levels for a while, I lost my insurance. I continue taking levothyroxine 100, about 14 years ago a doctor did a radioactive iodine. Dr said that I had hypothyroidism and hashimotos disease.not candidate for surgery to continue taking thyroid medicine for life. I had a nodule removed from my left lung 2017 and i remember anesthesiologist told me that I had a very closed neck that it would be difficult to insert the tube, I had surgery and I never had any pain or any difficulties on my neck or throat area.

I have a Thyroid Goiter upon hearing this measage I might be having the same problem with the Goiter moving downward. I have Annual followup in August 2024 I will address this concern. Thank you for the info.

In my ultrasound it said my thyroid was unremarkable but have nodular and need biopsy.

Hi i open a pirtal with you guys .so when go to see the doctor .to see if he is going to do a biopsy.my ultrasound said i had a nodular in the resultsof ultrasound the number was in the scale mildly suspicious

I was told I had a goiter along with nodules during a MRI in 2019, had biopsies which were fine. I'm now feeling tightness, and coughing more than before and feeling I should have surgery. Do all patients that have surgery gain weight and hormones are all over the place? if I have surgery at your facility, would you be prescribing my medications or will I need to find a doctor in my area? My tsh is 4.97. Should I be tested for goiter. It increased from 1.67 in 6 months. Waiting for a medical appointment for a 2nd opinion.
